“what ever happened to Anonymous's big expose on the Harper govt? All bark no bite.”

“While I dont think any of us were particularily suprised at the degree of connection between Harper, Ministers and their spouses directly linked into corporations. The expose certainly showed that the degrees of separation are non-existant.”

“actually they kind of did. Toews gave influential government positions to another mistress, completely illegal, the media never reported on it. i Found 1 article in the citizens online and it was hard to find.”
“that place will unwind as soon as the US leaves so it looks like you are going be there for a very long time. 10 years in and not much has changed since the first few months we were there, other than the 100s of billions that have been flushed.”

“Oh but you are wrong, the MIC profits have soared. The government has been able to pass legislation that continues to creep towards a police state, and Progress has been made in leaps and bounds for the rich to futher enslave the middle and lower classes. I'd say a lot has changed.
“so there will be even more Dems to cave to the Repubs. They already had a majority when Obama first took office and all they did was fold anyway so I would not get to excited that any thing will change.”
“Obama is not that different from Bush and Romney won't be that different than Obama. I'm talking their actions not hollow words.”

“I'm sorry if you can't see the stark contrasts among these 3 men.
1. For starters, Bush and Romney both believed that getting Bin Laden wasn't important. Evidently Obama, and our nation, did. (Witness all the nationwide celebrations when Bin Laden died.)
2. Obama believes in a strong middle class, tax fairness at the very top (his submitted Buffett Rule), whereas Bush and Romney both protect the billionaires and millionaires to the detriment of the middle class, and both fully support grinding our economy further into the ground with their unwarranted, unfunded tax cuts for the super-wealthy.
3. Obama believes in fair pay for women, and took action to guarantee that (Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act). Bush and Romney could care less about women, including our healthcare and well-being.
4. Obama rightly sees the destruction of our nation because our people don't have better access to healthcare. Bush never cared. Romney did in Massachusetts but now decries healthcare reform and wants to take away the little that we got under Obamacare. How humane is this, especially since he and the GOP do NOT have alternative, workable plans to help us.
Shall I go on, or do you see now? You're talking about 3 men who are as different as night and day from one another.”
“was there really anyone that thought that all the pain would not be placed on the publics shoulders? Obama will now use his much over used tactic of caving to make sure it's a done deal. A toothless poodle is a bigger threat than Obama. His "threats" are usually followed by a cave in.”

“He can't afford to cave here.”

“This time there is no need to compromise. The sequester, which will cripple defense, kicks in without a deal or any action at all by the Congress. Same goes for the Bush/Obama tax cuts, which expire for all of us with no action from the do nothing Congress. AMT fix? Medicare Doc fix? Payroll tax cut? All gone with no action needed at all. Gridlock may fix what compromise cannot.”
