“BUT nothing...TRANSEXUALS DO NOT WANT TO SNEAK INTO YOUR LOCKER ROOM AND HAVE SEX WITH YOU. Build a bridge and get over it.”

Calm down and pop a Ritalin. You, like so many others, create straw man arguments and accuse others of some very strange things. It's time for people like you to get into the 21st century and attempt to understand....Gender Identification HAS NOTHING to do with sexual orientation. Please learn the difference. This issue has to do with the rights of others, the rights of women to feel secure in their persons while in vulnerable positions. I know of no women who would feel comfortable changing in a room where there is a genetic male whom they do not know present. Ask around DJ, you might be surprised. I seek no further discourse with you. Take Care and have a happy Halloween.”
“The problem with that statement (other than it's obvious ignorance), is that NO ONE COMPLAINED ABOUT HER. Or did you even read the article or listen to the news clip?”

“Please read carefully,
She was born a female (genetically male), is post op, and is NOW internally AND externally a female.
She should be using the female facilities and LA Fitness should be held civilly accountable.
If a transgender is born a female (genetically a male) and is PRE-Op (still has a male appendage), then that person should still use the male facilities.
Please stop mixing the points. One point is regarding Yanel and HER problems with LA Fitness, the other is regarding pre/post - operative transgender issues and the accommodations that should or should not be made for them.”
“You clearly don't grasp what being transgendered is as a concept, so trying to explain to you all of the reasons why what you just said is wrong, is pointless. "He" is no longer a "he" which is why HER drivers license says FEMALE, not male. Or was that not clear enough for you?”

“A male can be surgically altered to resemble a female but his chromosomes and DNA remain unchanged, i.e., male. Nothing in the article says this person has been altered. Some judges have ruled that a delusional drivers license can be issued. In fact some jurisdictions actually reissue birth certificates; both documents are quite fraudulent.”
“It's a technicality at best - they're both in high school for god's sake. If the one was in college, the other in high school, and more than a 3 year age gap between them, I'd say charge her - but this is just BS. And it'd be BS if it were a guy/girl relationship too. This country is horrendously sexually repressed.”

“It's no different if your 21st birthday is one day away and someone sells you a drink, they should be prosecuted. You have to set a definite line, no exceptions.”
“EXACTLY!!! Furthermore, if Catholics call unborn fetuses "human beings" when it comes to abortion, then clearly a 7 month old fetus that could have had it's life saved, falls under the same category. How anyone can see otherwise, is beyond me.”
“I fail to see the clown "attacking" the cop. You see the cop grab the guy and toss him to the pavement and then being punching him directly in the face.”

“He didn't grab the guy and toss him to the pavement, the clown tackles him. The cop is under the clown. I'd say a tackle counts as an attack. Should the cop have just lied there for awhile to see what the clown was going to do next?”
“So, lemme get this straight...a cop grabs your and throws you to the ground, and that's "resisting arrest", and now "restraining" someone is punching them straight in the face as opposed to putting their arms behind them and cuffing them. Right...got it. I think more cops need to be "restrained" if that's how it works.”

“Come visit me in Thailand. If you fought a cop here you would get shot in the head quickly.”

“Try thanking both political parties for kowtowing to big business/greedy corporations that ship jobs overseas, and allow greedy CEO types like Romney to avoid paying taxes here. This is hardly *only* Obama's fault.”
“African American comedians ROUTINELY use the "N word". This woman is "disabled" (I'm using your PC term so you don't cry too hard), and saiod it, in a self deprecating manner, BECAUSE SHE'S A COMEDIAN.
“"Women are told to change themselves in 100 million ways to keep a man happy. That is the relationship advice we get before, during, and after all relationships. "
Yes...and you're most commonly told this by OTHER WOMEN. Something to consider. Because it's sure as crap not men (primarily) offering women dating advice, but rather them getting it from female peers or "women's magazines" which are not chockablock full of males wishing to espouse their pearls of relationship wisdom.”
“YES!!! THAT!!! I work at a place where the head of the product team calls meetings for EVERYTHING. And during the meetings, he will then routinely say "let's take this offline in another meeting". Meeting after meeting after meeting, most of which have ZERO impact or provide ZERO value for my team or myself. Yet when we head into the meetings, we're told to close our laptops (which might allow us to actually be productive) so we can "pay attention" to material that again, has little to no impact to myself or my team. People who cause productivity loss to host meetings that go nowhere and are not pertinent to everyone invited to the meeting are ten billion times worse than those who show up late. It's 2013 - you DO NOT need a meeting for everything. Chances are what you have to say is not that important, and neither are you.”

“I respect 'em as musicians, but musically - they have just never done it for me. I think the main vitriol about Phish is aimed at the wrong people. It's not the band that deserves any hate, it's the (mostly) awful crowd of trustafarians that deserve the disdain.”
stuoverit on Jul 23, 2013 at 09:35:35
“That's fair, but as a phishgoer, I think the trustafarians are somewhat of a vocal minority. Between my friends and myself, you've typically got a teacher, banker, pharmaceutical rep, hardware salesman and nurse, wearing t-shirts and shorts just trying to groove.
There are certainly the folks who think because their dreadlocks are the longest, they're somehow more worthy of Phish's music, but like I said, I think that's a minority of fans. I definitely understand too how they don't do it for everyone. My buddies loved Phish for three-four years before something clicked with me. But, at the same time, I still enjoy the music I listened to before Phish, it's just that Phish takes up about 50% of my listening time now.
“So maybe BOTH sexes can stop being rude to each other? Or do we just want to keep the status quo so each gender can take a minute to blame the other and dig their heels in on the "well, it happens to US too, so that nullifies your complaint" angle.”

“Good point. I was just pointing out if men are that offended by this t shirt that women have endured alot worse comments than this by men. I realize that men are more involved with their children than in the past. I was brought up in an age where dad made the money and mom did everything around the house. Didn't always make for a happy household especially if mom wanted other things in life besides being a housewife.”
