“Sexist and ageist? You must be a total catch... Any way, "every thing crumbles under the power of time", and that includes you. Now I'm not a Halle Berry fan, but who exactly are you to judge her based on your simple social ideals of beauty? Even if those ideals had any merit to them, according to them, she looks great. So... Yeah...”

I'm just going to take an educated guess and assume that you don't know what you're talking about, which is why you haven't provided any real arguments.”

“To address your original post, there has never been a single generation in the history of man that has avoided the threat of war. Clearly you’re completely unaware of what’s going on in the Middle East right now? Or what’s going on in Europe with resurfacing of fascism. You’re making a lot of assumptions about Generation Y or rather that the norm is an absolute trend without differentiation, and in that you’re down right wrong. The old and ignorant enjoy frivolous things just as much as the young and ignorant. And are you talking right now about now with what’s going on in the economy? Because we’re going through that too in case you hadn’t noticed… Quit whining and complaining? You’re whining and complaining about others whining and complaining! Besides, that’s what democracy is all about, dissent.”

“You do realize that Canada isn't doing well at all right now? It just hit a 600 billion deficit, the largest in Canadian history. I don't feel lucky at all to be living in Canada, and I don't see any reason why I should. The nation is very divided, and Fascism and Separatism are the current threats from within. ”

pondweevil on Nov 28, 2012 at 10:57:00

“I see your point, that Canada is a sad reflection of what it once stood for. Certainly, this generation has a lot at stake.

If today's youth could see the threats as clearly as you do, they would vote in droves and send Harper packing. Now that is something to hope for.”

“A very wise man once said that there is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, Ignorance. Perhaps you should spend less time demanding respect, and more time becoming a respectable man and educate yourself? Perhaps coming up with your own perspective on things and not simply regurgitating the age old perspective of I’m old and thus wiser. Perhaps read The Communist Manifesto and learn what Communism really is, or learn what the Cold War was really about.”

“Now I'm not sure I would consider Canada truly democratic (but what country is right?), but I'm sure you would, and isn't Canada a socialist state? Health care, labor rights, centralized bank management laws, gguaranteed human rights and education; all of that: sir is socialism. And isn’t that true for all forms of governance? By the way Canada would be a good example of someone who is out of money, namely someone else’s money (tax payers). Also if I do remember correctly didn’t Liberals make Canada the golden state of promise it used to be? (Namely Pierre Trudeau) Also there’s never been a truly communist state so I’m not sure where you’re getting that idea from, but Cuba is still doing really well, and a number of European countries were doing really well until they had the bright idea of the EU. The poster probably also thinks that voting Liberal or NDP is going to make things better for him because the conservative have a long history of running the country into the ground, right now is a fine example. Going from a 200+ billion surplus in a 600 billion deficit is a large feat after all, and they did same thing in the 80’s.”

“Canada isn't exactly the only first world country and many are doing far better than Canada is right now; in fact Canada is doing really poorly right now with it's national debt reaching the highest its ever been. And I'm pretty sure that's not the reason why I live in Canada and not Zimbabwe, I wasn't born in either, and surely early Acadians weren't thinking of me when the French decided to colonize this piece of land. They were pursuing their own interests, and only a select few have thought of future generations; they have earned my respect, not you.”

People can't get jobs, homes are non-affordable, there's a dramatic increase in homelessness, and education is very expensive. If things were anywhere near as easy as you seem to think they are, don't you think more people would be paying their dues? And what exactly have you contributed to society? A reality detached philosophy?”

“Sounds like he's just smart and what exactly are his symptoms? And are you a trained medical professional? Because if you're not, I don't think you can diagnose him with something you don't know he has. The whole spectrum of autism is largely controversial since no one knows exactly what causes autism and it's a metal disorder that yet to be narrowed down and properly explained. When you get disorders like this that lack a conventional definition you get a slew of diagnosed patients who kind of fit the bill and many of them are miss-diagnoses, it’s the same thing that happen with ADD.”

“That's not being autistic, that's being blunt, lacking social skils, and saying completely insensitive things. These things have nothing to do with autisim, these are personality traits. Also tunnel vision is a term used to describe someone who can't think outside of what's presented to them, this would greatly limit someones creativity. Autistism and mental retardation are two different things by the way.”

“That's how all schools are run, that's the educational model that the entire world has been using since the industrial era. How exactly does knowing more facts prevent us from thinking? There's no neurological proof to back that up. Knowing facts about something can only help our abilities to problem solve, and it is in-fact necessary to solve problems. For example if you do not know what the symbol Pi is or what it stands for, you can't find the circumference of a circle with a mathematical equation. Another example would be democratic decisions, you have no good reason to think that your current president is doing a good job if you are unaware of his political actions, and you can't decide who should run a country if you are unaware of all the parties political stances and policies, and the intricate facts of your country. Having gone through the educational system in Canada, I can tell you that the main issue with the educational standard is that governments have a vested interests in ignorant masses for political and economic purposes and this is achieved by a ridiculously slow education rate and the inability to pursue ones interest prior to university as-well as many useless years of schooling. It has been proven that kids learn at much faster rate from their parents until the age of 7-8, making anything before grade one or two useless.”

Nicotine is addictive, of course a smoker would have constantly need their source of it. Einstein sad that the definition of insanity was to repeat the same action over and over expecting a different result, which would be odd since autistic's tend to crave structure and repetitive actions.”

“How do you know that he was not Gods answer for your pleas for the truth? And why pile praise on someone who allows it to happen? I'm sure God has some responsibility in there somewhere since he is omniscient and omnipotent. When exactly are we going to be lead into all truth because, it's been like 8000-12000 years since the first permanent structures were built and ignorance is still pretty abundant... I do believe that's the point of looking at his brain, to figure out why his brain worked the way it did and why he was so capable. Was it just constant stimulation of his mind or was this a genetic mutation and perhaps an evolutionary step in mankind? There are questions that need answering here, they're not just looking at it and saying "yuck". Also as a side point; Germany started developing the atomic bomb before the US, and Einstein spoke out against the use of the bomb.”
