“What if a couple hire a surrogate to have their baby , and find out the baby will have a birth defect, so they want the surrogate to abort, but she refuses, who has the rights then?”

“Did you know that over 64% of abortions are coerced, either by a parent, boyfriend, husband, employer, pimp, etc. Women need help, abortion is not the answer, it is a quick fix for the moment that can cause serious mental and physical pain. I am not judging anyone, I believe every women should know exactly what abortion is and how it could effect them for the rest of their lives.”

“I am not interested in your regurgitation of emotional talking points. You will not change my mind, so I'm not sure why you are wasting your time. I respect your opinion, but do not agree with it. I have been part of a fundamentalist religion in my past, and know full well how they go about trying to erase individual thought. Your continuing posts seem sadly pathetic as if you really think you are going to convince someone. Again, please, there is no need to keep wasting keystrokes replying to me - I know all the tricks and truths to fundamental religion's agenda and I know the scientific truths as well. Please, please friend, do yourself a favor and quit trying so hard to beat others over the head with your stubborn beliefs. Have a good life.”

“Doctors and nurses sole purpose is to save lives, not to support ending them when there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. It's a shame you call yourself a caregiver, but support ending a human beings life for no reason whatsoever. I've watched video's and read stories of firemen going into burning buildings to save someone's pet, those are true hero's....your a decensitized fool!”

“Now you can judge over the internet, that's superchristian of you. If you could pay attention, I am not supportive of abortions - I wish they never happened, which is why I am totally supportive of birth control - 100%. If you could get off your santimonious highhorse long enough to actually use the brain gawd gave ya, you would understand preventing unwanted pregnancies saves so much grief and hardship. Again, I do not judge other women who have had to make this difficult decision - nor should you, you have not walked in their shoes. You have no idea of what bravery is. Judging from a keyboard is purecowardice.”

“You expect abortions to solve poverty? You expect birth control to solve poverty? Again, prevention helps avoid both unwanted pregnancies as well as preventing the need for abortions.  Poverty is a multidimensional problem. If you need that explained, you should start studying.”

“You do realize contraceptives have been around long before legalized abortions don't you? Abortions are not happening because women have no access to the hundreds of different kinds of birth control methods on the market today, your so ridiculous! How about we help poor women out of there situations instead of keeping them dependant on gov't funding. How about we make men responsible for their children instead of all this burden on the mother who feels hopeless, giving a poor woman an abortion, solves her issue temporarily, how is this really going to help her better her life, how will this stop her from getting pregnant again and again?Abortion is not a solution to poverty! It's funny how you stereo type all poor people as criminals, and losers, who are filling the jails and prisons, maybe you need to read about some of those extremely rich kids who end up on drugs, DUI's, felonies, how about those Menendez brothers, who killed their parents?”

fiestyslug on Oct 11, 2013 at 08:10:29

“And there we have it. Thank you for your brilliant demonstration of Christian love and compassion. We don't agree, so what? I have been a nurse since the late 70's, I have seen more tragedy and sadness than you could even imagine.  I staunchly support a woman's right to choose, a choice I have fortunately never had to make, so I don't judge those who have.  I adamantly support birth control for married, unmarried etc. Unwanted pregnancies are preventable, and sadly some of the children of the hypereligous are the ones who end up in trouble because of their close minded and out of touch parents.  You do not have to keep replying to me. I won't be reading/watching any of your suggestions. I disagree with your opinions on this topic, yet I respect your right to have them. Time to move on.”

“Have you ever heard of "Mary Coldrone" she was the director of planned parenthood back in the 60-70s she said, "90% of All illegal abortion were preformed by licensed physicians"! Dr. Bernard Nathanson founder of N.A.R.A.L and helped in passing Roe vs Wade, said that the term "Back Alley" abortion was named because of the way the women wanting abortions would enter the licensed clinics so as not to be seen, because it was illegal the doctors had to be very secretive and sneaky! Planned Parenthood coined "Back Alley" to try and get people to legalize abortions, lying about coat hangers, back alley buthchers, and by how many women were dying from these types of abortions. Truth is, death from abortion started to decline long before legalization due to better antibiotics. RoevsWade should have never passed. Read Dr. Nathanson's "Confession of an Abortionist".”

“Oh my goodness, you are entrenched. Good luck with that. Just cuz you read religiouscrap and cite it does not make it any more true. I am not a big fan of abortions either, that's why I totally support prevention. But in the mean time I would NEVER try to tell another woman how to live her life.  Religious sanctimony is a real turn off by the way, ppl are not that interested in being preached at by those folks who have their own issues they should be dealing with. Why not study the teachings of Christ a little more closely? Judgement and telling others how to live their lives was not his MO, so why should it be yours?”

“Yes it is, I have done tons of research on the matter, and that is just the tip of the iceberg, there is so many more reasons abortions hurt women! You should watch "Silent no More" and hear what post-abortive women have to say, and then try to tell them they are wrong or mistaken...good luck!”

fiestyslug on Oct 10, 2013 at 20:21:24

“Yeah I won't be watching any of that religiouscrap. Actually childbirth IS very hard on women's bodies - it messes with bladders as well as cervixes. Your point is better made about childbirth in general.  Hope you are pro contraception, prevention is the best - makes abortions unnecessary. Abstinance does not work - "tons of research" proves this as well.”

Nobody ever talks about making love anymore they just use and abuse their bodies, and let others abuse their bodies just to get there rocks off, most people do not know true love and true commitment. When two people are in love they accept the gift of that love...sad world today!”

“I just wanted to comment on the last comment you sent. I never said any science book called a fetus a baby, I said doctors use the word fetus to describe which stage of development the human being is in. An feotogist, embryologist will tell you from the moment of fertilization there is a human life. And of course they need to develop in the mothers womb for the first nine months, that's how human are created! Women have wombs for this very purpose, to bring new life!”

You might want to check out "The Blackmun Wall" it has a list of woman's names on it, who were all killed from legal abortions in the U.S. Tanya Reeves died july last year from a botched abortion at a Chicago PP clinic, and Jennifer Marbelli, died from an abortion perfomed at Le Roy Carhart's clinic! But they were safe, right?”

“The name fetus is a term used by doctors to describe the stage of development the HUMAN BEING is in, the fetus (baby) is a human being with potential, not a potential human being as you like to think. And this is not my personal opinion, read a fetology, embryology, geneology, book sometime, become enlightened!”

cheribinny on Oct 9, 2013 at 18:47:51

“I have advanced degrees in science and biology and am highly enlightened and have studied and written papers about and know full well all the "ology!s " you listed and never does science refer to a fetus embryo or zygote as a baby it is not a baby and I don't think I ever said human being with potential it is a human organism with the potential to be a living human being if born and no longer in need of a uterus to survive....this is not my personal opinion it is fact...truly you are the one that needs enlightenment and the understand that there is no circumstance where you have the right to judge another women about her reproductive healthcare or her choices in that regard. And it's none of your business. No one is forcing you to make this choice.”

“If you want to save babies support Democrats who support birth control and sex ed and want to end poverty.  Abortion is not going to be outlawed so the best thing to do is reduce unintentional pregnancy.

"When more than 9,000 women ages 14 to 45 in the St. Louis area were
given no-cost contraception for three years, abortion rates dropped from
two-thirds to three-quarters lower than the national rate, according to
a new report by Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis researchers."

“Really??? Terrible rationale there. And I will tell you why...I am against slavery because it is NOT right for anyone to be under the subject and rule of what another person tells them to do...just like in the case of abortion...NO ONE should be able to control someone else's decision about their body and health.  Again, how many unwanted kids have you adopted???  Have you ever been a foster parent???  ”
