“Or it could be that we raised a very smart and sensible group of young adults who don't want to work for industries supporting global warming. When I was their age nobody in their right mind would move to another province to do work they had no interest in. And how did the bringing foreign doctors in thing work out. Grads from med schools in Canada working at Starbucks to pay their debt load and no job. Ugly times ahead if CETA comes true!”

“A more ridiculous post I have never seen. Do you really believe organic peanuts are harvested any different than chemically treated ones? You make it sound like they throw a handful of poop in every supermarket jar. Get real. Wheat, quinoa, oats, it doesn't matter. They are stored and processed in large facilities and where there is food there is vermin. Stay out of the goofy internet folklore sites.”

“I coach youth soccer and you couldn't be more wrong. These kids were dropping like flies this summer because they got a job at a pizzeria or corn detasselling. Their 1st love soccer was out on the back burner because they were one of the few lucky ones that got a job this summer. One boy worked at an environmental research facility last summer. This year in the corn field due to cuts. That is Harpenomics at its finest!”

“Our company used to have BlackBerries but then we switched out to iPhone's. Nobody could argue that the blackberry OS is better than any other OS. The fact remains there's just no apps for a BlackBerry. And I mean cool apps. Is there a BlackBerry app for my Smart TV? No. Is there a BlackBerry app for my thermostat? No. But they all exist for iOS and android. BlackBerry fell asleep so did Nokia and so did Motorola. Microsoft is barely hanging in there but making some progress at least.”

“Within a month Blackberry's will be able to access the android app store. And yes one could make a strong case for BB10 OS being the best.No touch phone has faster typing.”

All will change their model to resemble the Internet world - charge for speed and caps. Their profits will not suffer. Board of directors will not put up with that!”

The Key to Creating 18,000 New Canadian Jobs

“Lapetus you are bang on in that the government subsidizes many different types of industries in Canada. Therein lies the issue. The only thing the government should have it's cheque book out for is those with business ideas that will create a varied landscape of new and innovative businesses willing to work hard and employ Canadians. This is why we are going so deep into debt. Oil is dirty, but it is important as a commodity in the world right now and should only be one component of many that produce sustainable jobs, growth, and MOST important, Canadian dignity. Justin Trudeau just got in hot water for saying something about Alberta 2 years ago. It wasn't directed at the province so much as the industry it supports. If indeed he meant to say that then he should stick to his words. Everyone is concerned that the Harper government is hedging Canadians' future in black gold. Go sit in a casino, and you will see what result gambling has.”
