“Big Companies pushing the government to become bigger and richer. That is all projects such as the BTB and RCC are. Lets eliminate public health and make money. Canada and the U.S. need to start thinking about the publics well being and stop thinking about Trade, Meat Councils, etc. wanting to build empires at the public expense. Where will our governments be when the first shipment of meat under the BTB causes people to get sick.”

“The average time to clear a shipment at an import establishment in the US is 18 minutes. The delays occur at US Customs and Border Protection. FSIS import inspection controls shipments. As an example - The XL shipment that was identified as being positive for e coli was sampled at a US Import Establishment. The shipment was controled until results were recieved. The sample notified Canada and the U.S. of an issue. No one in the US got sick, the product was not comingled into other product (it was refused entry). In Canada people got sick!!”
