“I am glad I am not the only one who thinks this is over the top! What will happen when they get to a real graduation day? Say...Been there...done that"?”

“I used to feel that way too before I had kids. Now I appreciate the things that help build their self-esteem in an otherwise cynical world where too many people are way too quick to criticize just about everything.”
“"If no one is on your tail"? as if you have time to check?
Then again I'll bet you never hit a moose. You are more likely to survive if you swerve.”

“Another thing I try and teach them is to know BEFORE you have to slam on your brakes where all cars are in relation to yours, someone behind me? Lane next to me, how many. When I'm teaching to drive, I'll just throw out "Don't look, what color is the car in the lane to your right hanging by your quarter panel?" So if they have to react quick, like a freaking MOOSE is coming, they know which direction is good to go, if any. No, I never hit a moose. You guys.....damn. I'm referring to the article where the husband flew off the road and his new bride died to avoid hitting a dog.”
“Actually they aren't so different....the "e" is the same in both. What you are probably focusing on the "n". They are different because one is a capital N while the other is lower case.
But then you probably would rather blame the victim, huh?”

“No, look at the rest after the capital N.
See how it is a little strung together almost like cursive? The lower case e is way different than the e above. The style of letter placement is completely different and people just do not write that way constantly changing styles.
The 2 words were written by 2 different people.”
“Why does it always have to come from the customers? The top exec's and share holders are making millions in profits. It wouldn't hurt them to even share the cost.”

“"Share" is your operant word. Corporations exist to "maximize profit" (the goal). Customer benefits and service come into play if they primarily result in supporting or achieving that goal. That's the nature of the unfettered free market. Anything, such as, regulation, employee, overhead cost that reduces profit is viewed as bad. Ergo, corporations move production costs overseas if they can to take advantage of cheap labor. For service and retail industries, this is more difficult unless they can conduct business via the internet i.e. call centers in India, Philippines, China or distribution centers in low wage states (Amazon). These reduce labor and/or transportation delivery costs.”
“The deficit is half what it was since Obama took office. Just how is that bankrupting the country? Do you even know how many millions of dollars it cost the country the last time the GOP held the debt ceiling hostage? And that is Obama's fault how?”
