Earth Orbit Tilted By Rogue Star, New Research Suggests

Earth Orbit Tilted By Rogue Star, New Research Suggests

Commented Nov 16, 2012 at 11:44:24 in Science

“There are a lot of holes in the idea and association with the Vela supernova explosion. First would have to be the fact that it is about 800 light years away, therefor only light and radiation reached Earth thus no mass to impact any gravitational pull that could overpower the suns own gravity well. For the Earth to tilt seven degrees the amount of force, mass and acceleration required is substantial which is why the math likely equals to a "star that's responsible for tilting us (Batygin.)"

I am very skeptical for this being the reason for any religion, spiritually or existential thinking to begin =) If it had any impact at all the largest would be some kind of 'omen.'”

“I do not understand your statement. What I am saying is that in Islamic context you do not praise Allah before an event or action has occurred. Instead anyone who is a Muslim will say Allah willing such an event or action. Have a conversation with any Muslim and this will become clear quickly.

Think about it this way, anyone can use a marker and write "praise Allah" at the end. The way it is used is suspect to me. I have heard in speech before from ignorant non-Muslims use "praise Alllah" at the end of a terrible joke to mock Muslims and the whole 'terrorist' stereotype. If this was written "praise Jesus" at the end, would everyone assume a Christan wrote it? To me this is clearly written by a non-Muslim.”

“Well first of all it is all about the distance light travels for age. For example, if you were out in a field a year ago and I was one light year away in space with a telescope looking at you; you would been seen in that field at that moment however you would no longer be in that field since a year has elapsed on Earth so you would in fact be a different location. Therefore when you see objects that are a distance away it is as they were in relation to how long light has traveled to reach your location, as I would have seen you in that field with you being one year younger than you actually are. So father away we look into space the younger the universe appears.

Secondly what they are talking about is the process of nucleosynthesis in relation to these elements.”

Jason Russell Arrested? Co-Founder Of Invisible Children, 'Kony 2012' Creator, Not Charged In San Diego (VIDEO, UPDATE)

Commented Mar 16, 2012 at 18:30:51 in World

“Kony has not been a threat to Uganda for ten years and Jason Russell is a liar and is peddling falsehoods. This video prompts outrage in Uganda by the victims towards the video itself for the obviously display of "white mans burden."

I agree with you that it doesn't matter what he was arrested for except the fact that this propaganda exploded and has fooled a lot of people. Although now he looks like a fool too.

Also putting words into block capital letter is lame.”

More Water On The Moon Than Previously Thought: New Findings Challenge Moon's Creation Theories

“Most of Theia's mass is now part of the Earth, some of it is part of the Moon and the rest was thrown into space.

Theia hit the Earth at just the right angle so it would expel massive amount of debris into space and it also speed up the earths rotation to 6 hours. The debris formed into a ring. The parts of the ring before 14,000 miles fell back down to earth. But every thing after that was able to form into the moon. When the moon first formed it was only 14,000 miles away. But though billion years of tidal effects the moon has slowed the day down to 24 hours and has pushed the moon to about 250,000 miles away.”

CRTC Code Of Conduct: New Rules Include Cellphone Contract Changes

Commented Jun 3, 2013 at 13:14:16 in Canada Business

“I'm positive you enter a 3 year contract to reduce or cover the price you pay on a phone. There is always a 12.50 charge for disconnection and during the 3 years you have a balance that pays for the subsidy for such phone, so lets say the retail is $700 and you buy it for $300 which will work out to $13,89 every month for three years. So when you buy an unlocked phone you are already paying your "buy out on contract" in advance. If you are on a plan I think its a good idea to stick with it, that is if you can truly afford a cell phone plan, lets say $67.80 a month which will be $2440.80 for the service. I don't get the big deal of "I don't want to be in a 3 year contract!" when you will likely have a cell phone for 3 years. Might as well take advantage of a phone subsidy.”

Is It Easier To Deal With Divorce When You Made The Choice To Leave?

Is It Easier To Deal With Divorce When You Made The Choice To Leave?

Commented Mar 4, 2012 at 11:14:11 in Divorce

“I do not think she made the case that it is easier to begin a divorce as the one to initiated it. Sounds like to me she had a very shallow life with everything of material needs being handed to her as she described. Nonetheless she found and chosen her husband; for all we know he is a good guy who got dropped to which he had no power to stop. If this quest of hers is to be truly realized and her husband was the linchpin in the grand scheme of things I therefor suggest giving up all material goods to find the life she seeks. Have a 'perfect' life is an indicator of how flawed you genuinely are.

Maybe join a temple and learn kung fu? Who cares as the choice is hers alone and so is the solution. It is not our concern and with all people I wish them the best. I suspect that she will never be happy until she realizes the true source of her soft struggle and finds the greater one.”

“I am not interested in defending his views but I have to comment on this: You might "think" about soldiers while he "remembers" since he was a Navy Seal. You delivered quite a low blow casually there, however I do not agree with his theories but I can understand his frustration. I highly doubt Jesse is a "cry baby whiner" since he "ain't got time to bleed!" I question the possibility of psychological projection behavior with such a post.
Also I would like to point out there is a lot more in being a "true patriot" then being a soldier, being capable of killing people or joining the army. If that was the case, and correct me if I am wrong, but less than 1% of the population serve in the military. Not many patriots in America eh? (different kind of 99%!)”
