States Move On E-Cigarettes As Washington Delays

States Move On E-Cigarettes As Washington Delays

Commented Dec 9, 2013 at 17:22:39 in Politics

“Agreed. F&F I quit smoking tobacco completely over 8 months ago, an accomplishment I never thought i'd be able to claim after 35 years of smoking. I use e-cigarettes to get me through the rough times like when I'm out drinking or after a great meal when I'm weakest. The best part is I can breathe, my home and clothes no longer smell like an ashtray and did I mention I can breathe?!!

E-cigs are the best tool imaginable (my mother in law also quite after 58 years of smoking) for people to quit tobacco and the effect on the quality of life and to health care costs are reason enough to do extensive studies of benefits and how to safely expand e-cig use. I find it amazing that anyone would think differently - maybe tobacco companies propaganda money is being well spent. They are the only group to benefit from killing the e-cig industry.”

“Many conservative pundits and representatives are eagerly going public with their disdain for the new Pope's comment about the evils of blind capitalism. The GOP have never hidden the fact that they wear Christian clocks but their true god is money and they worship no other entity. Anyone who imagines that the right has any kindness in their heart or feel any compassion for the poor, they are deluded.”

“Doesn't it violate a persons civil rights to block them from pre-registering then blocking them from same day registration so that they are unable to vote if their 18th birthday falls on election day? Would that not be a lawsuit waiting to happen? I realize that it would be a very small number, but the GOP is fighting in court to have entire voting laws changed to combat the 2 cases of voter fraud, so even if only 2 or 3 people are effected...”

10M on Nov 20, 2013 at 18:50:32

“It would, but the law does have an exception for those who will turn 18 and fall into the window of time between required registration and election day. What they eliminated was the pre-registration which allowed somebody to register when they wouldn't be even eligible to vote in the upcoming election, such as a 16 year old.”

They need to create constant noise so that the media will continue to lead Americans lurching from one headline to another, never stopping long enough to look at the candidates. Or realizing that there is a massively incompetent person in office, but distracted by the other tea party members that seem even more koo-koo”

Those same unwanted children are forced to live in a world of limited education and opportunities and healthcare while war criminals like Cheney can get a new heart, as an old man, simply because he has money.
In Cruz's world it doesn't matter who you are. What you have is all that matters about who you are.”
