“They legalized all drugs in Portugal and the drug use among teens dropped.
Look it up.”

“Great like I said I could care less either way. I'm just tired won't someone think of the children bs. The children already get all the pot they want, regardless of what some politician says or thinks.”

“Are you suggesting your kids are never going to smoke weed? Because the stats suggest there is a very, very good chance they will try it at least once. When they do, do you want them saddled with a permanent criminal record?”

“"We obey the law..." is a cop-out excuse.
That implies you have NEVER:
1) Jay walked
2) Gone over a speed limit (themselves and arbitrary and "temporary" measure for fuel conservation in the FIRST World War, not for "safety")
3) Walked on the grass, knowingly or otherwise
5) Littered, knowingly or otherwise
6) Committed any one of 10,000 different infractions you couldn't possibly know about without a Ph.D in Law.
Remember according to THE LAW you claim to OBEY STUDIOUSLY, "ignorance is no excuse." Ergo, any time you do one of those things:
YOU ARE A FILTHY OUTLAW CRIMINAL AND SHOULD BE PUT TO THE SWORD.
"We obey the law..." translates as "Don't make me think." It's an easy certainty when the reality would require critical analysis and judgment, which are scary things that might shake your simple reality to it's core.
Also interesting to note that "Black and White" thinking is one of the key indicators of abuse used in Psychology.
Better to do as your told and judge others from a distance. It's always safer to be on the side of the bullies.

“BREAKING Cllr Karen Stintz says the city has suspended school trips to City Hall until further notice b/c it is "unsafe"”

“That's a good idea. I wouldn't let my child go to city hall. Given the media crush and the way Ford likes to wade through a crowd shoving people out of the way as he goes, a child could be accidentally hurt.”
