“As someone who comes from a farming family that's genberationsa old ... let me fitrst say that's a pretty fantastical spin you put on it there! Fact of the matter is, maybe Canadian growers should grow less wheat if what you say is true; and start looking at other crops to grow in tandem!”
TwoZeroOZ on Aug 6, 2014 at 19:37:29
“Your last "suggestion" reveals you really don't know anything at all about agriculture.
Canadian growers don't just all get together and say "Ok folks, everyone still think we should all grow wheat? Ya? Ok, let's all do that!". Why do you think Canadian agricultural composition is what it is?
Each farmer independently decides to grow what makes the most sense, and that is always what brings in the most profits. We grow three times as much wheat as we need because other markets buy our wheat, and that wheat makes the farmer more money than switching to something else (like what? Banana's?), otherwise they would have already done it already.”

“I'd rather pay more money for Canadian products than have my Canadian market infected with American Dairy and poultry! I grew up in a boarder town and let me make this clear to all Canadians ... American poultry is fed large amounts of Steroids and they are pumped full of water before packaging, in order to make them appear more plump and juicy! YOU DO NOT WANT THIS STUFF IN YOUR BODIES! There's also a noticable difference in the taste of American milk compared to Canadian brands ... Canada has a better tasting product! We should NOT give up our excellent quailty for lower prices, we'll DEFINATELY end up with substandard poultry and dairy being forced into ourt markets!”
“Well its a short answer but an answer I suppose. I've studied in Uni and I continue to on a daily basis, although I never majored in it. My world view is all encompassing, I don;t make these statements lightly or without knowing what I'm talking about. I also grew up in a border town in addition to having an American extended family, so my knowledge of how Americans operate is quite intimate. Just in case you were wondering ....”
bobbski on May 23, 2014 at 23:37:02
“It is a short answer that also explains the popularity of horse racing. When I grew up in the 1940s, one could not throw a stick that wouldn't land near extended family. Learned much European history from them. Learned American history from school and reading over the years, because I have always found history to be fascinating.”
“I know a great deal, far more than you could fathom about my own country. Its well known American's don't have a world view outside their own boarders. Do you know your history? I happen to love history, and soak up as much as I can whenever I can. Humanity has been down down this path before and it ALWAYS ends badly; and usually for the elite. ALWAYS! What's happening in the US right now is akin to what led up to the French Revolution. How's that for history! ;)”

“You may heave read thousand of books, but you didn't learn anything because your assumptions are invalid and somewhat naive.”
bobbski on May 23, 2014 at 23:08:07
“I have a love of history that spans 72+ years. Does that answer your question?”
The definition doesn't matter, what matters is intent. He did a public service that showed how crooked your governing officials really are. You live in a pathetically crooked greedy country that tramples people's rights of privacy. Snowden will be rewarded because the public deems it so, not becasue of your textbook definition which does not apply here. Of course the governing officials think he's a traitor, they're the VERY CROOKS that would suffer from all this! Do you use common sense much? lol”

“Their problem, not yours or mine to worry about. People addicition problems are their own, and its to for the rest of us to stop payin g through the nose to have it policed so a few weakling and complainers can feel safe.”
“I work within ranks of a government, so I probably have a better idea than you. When the public at large disagrees with the government, then its a bad policy. In this case, most people don't see him as a traitor and people WILL believe that any American saying otherwise is only out to protect himself and his fellow crooked American Elites! There's no justifiable reason to spy on people the way the NSA does. 911 was an excuse to survey everyone so that the Amer4ican government can gain information which would put them ahead economical and politically. No one is going to believe anything the states has to say anymore. You people have lost all credibility, if you even had it that is!”
“Also here's the crux of it .. the REST OF THE WORLD is eager to reward Edward Snowden and MANY of your countrymen as well, becasue your country is doing something HIGHLY ILLEGAL and unethical according to all other nations. What he did is as important for your country as it is others. Your country is trying to create a state of perpetual fear where people give up their privacy rights in exchange for feeling safe. A system that capitalists have convinced you that you need so that they can abuse information to their own ends.
As I said, I doubt highly you're anything that you say you are, except for being part of the problem. I happen to work within the confines of Government, so I have a better idea than you! Suck it!”

“Then you should reread our Constitution Rhode Scholar. By definition Snowden committed treason, therefore he is a traitor to the USA.
Facts are facts Andy, once again you have been schooled. By the way with your intellect working for our government, what are you a janitor?
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.”
“Whatever. Doesn't matter what you think anyway. There isn't a person across the globe that doesn't know what the term "American Dream" means, you've been selling the dog and pony show to poor people for almost 100 years now. Anyway, you obviously have nothing better to do and have no argument. Have a nice life in your bubble.”
Joseph Roman on May 23, 2014 at 13:59:10
“I guess you have better things to do than have an argument...wonder why you weren't doing them?
Question...what's up with your bacon? It's round and tastes more like ham than bacon, I've just never gotten it. So what's that all aboot eh?”
“No, what I'm saying is that while you guys were busy toiling away trying to attain something that's unrealistic in your country, NOT only did we achieve it .. we surpassed it. Canadians don't need to dream, we already have what most want. Doesn't change the fact that your country is on the express lane to becoming a third world waste land and that's becasue the rich are to busy investing in developing nations. America is done developing, you've used most of your land and set up to many Corporate elites. America has nothing left to offer, whereas we have a WEALTH of natural resources which are virtually UNTAPPED and I'm NOT talking about the tar sands either. The only funny and pathetic thing here is you, for thinking your nation is something that it never has been.”
Joseph Roman on May 23, 2014 at 12:36:29
“Don't be mad at me, your the one who used the phrase "American Dream", I just pointed it out. Frankly I think the lady doth protest a little too much.”
“Nothing better to come back with eh? Thought so.”
ercuthbert on May 23, 2014 at 13:04:02
“Typical Rhetoric Andrew. By definition, Edward Snowden has committed Treason against the USA.
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
In other words Andy, based on your/our Constitution, Edward Snowden is a Traitor. Facts are facts Andy, and you have just been schooled! Your only response to facts, is rhetorical non sense, in other words your uneducated opinion.”
“A nosy neighbour who 's more respected globally and has a much better economic way of living than you do. Canadians have attained your so called "American Dream" while you guys are still struggling. LOL You people are funny as well as pathetic.”
Joseph Roman on May 23, 2014 at 11:47:01
“And yet your claim to fame here is that you have achieved the "American Dream"...ever heard of the canadian dream? No one has.
You are actually claiming that your great achievement is to be like those you find funny and pathetic. Interesting.”
“His music is truth. The American government is the most crooked and underhanded governm, ent of them all. The others might be barabric, but at least their honest and up front about it. The USA will shoot you in the back while shaking your hand. Good on Snowdon!”

“If you think the American government is the most crooked and underhanded government of them all, you need to do some more research.”

“That's sort of the crux of it all for me. At the end of the day, Snowden cracked the door wide open on TRUTH. Truth....... never matters what way, shape, or form, it comes in. I for one am thankful to Edward Snowden for bringing TRUTH.
I knew this was all happening because I read the Patriot Act, The National Defense Authorization Act, and understand a lot about the world of Digital Medium.
I am more thankful because he brought it to the public eye.
Now.... the public on the other hand. Are their own worst enemy. Because they are complacent about their own Governance, and care little for this.....
They just keep ignorantly voting for Republicans and Democrats for what? Going over 2 Centuries in a row now? The American People, ultimately, get exactly what they deserve. Eventually there will be no recognizable; solvent; Constitutionally based American Nation. It will be something else.
The American Government has gotten so corrupt that the corruption is ingrained into all facets of it. Including the Electoral System, Judicial System, and so forth...
Total lost cause. We are going to complacently watch corruption destroy the nation....
Yet we (I mean most of you), are just going to blindly vote for candidates from the political monopoly, and continue to not pay attention to anything.. as the corruption marches on and grows in leaps and bounds.”

“Well people can believe in religion all they want, it's hocus pocus, the greatest con every played on humanity. If people are stupid enough to buy in to religion, any of them, then they'd remain complacent and ignorant as big business maneuvers to have every angle of the economy benefit them. Every established fact started out as a theory. Either you have to much faith in humanity or you like the public being ignorant. It's one or the other.”

“There's a difference between speculating between about cancer curing pants and speculating that the corporate elite have infiltrated government and are skewing things in their favor! Apples and Oranges my friend ... Apples and Oranges! of course I wasn't insinuating that every conspiracy be taken seriously, some things things DO ring true and in this case one has to wonder what's going on globally with rise to such things as our Omnibus Bill, The degradation of our Environmental Responsibilities, The TPP Agreement, SOPA, PIPA and countless other Corporate Luxuries that point to one global economy or a "new World Order" as some might see it.”
TwoZeroOZ on May 14, 2014 at 16:57:34
“The only difference is that you believe one and not the other.
Both are baseless and irrational. Both would only be believed by an irrational mind, as baseless and irrational things should not be believed by any rational mind.
Also, citing random things like the Omnibus bill do not prove your theory, just ilke they are also not evidence for the cancer curing pants (and no, just saying they are evidence for either does not magically make them so).”

“Oh, your an extremist you are. All I said is, its ridiculous to dismiss it .. NOT believe it. Its people like convince others there' nothing to worry about, when most of the time there is. Who's paying to troll this story anyway?”
TwoZeroOZ on May 14, 2014 at 14:34:46
“It is not ridiculous to dismiss something baseless and irrational, unless you subscribe to an illogical viewpoint.
If I say "Hey, Andrew; A stranger on the bus told me that wearing polyester cures cancer. We know this is true, because the stranger is omnipotent. We know he's definitely omnipotent because he said he is, and someone omnipotent knows everything", you would be CORRECT to dismiss me. You're attempting to argue that my ideas should be given weight and merit, and be duly investigated. THAT is what is ridiculous.”
May 13, 2014 at 21:30:48
“I'm getting tired of people like you dismissing this so quickly and calling it Delusional. Fact of the matter is, history PROVES to us that governments are prone to conspiracies, it happens more than people might like to admit to it. Fact of the matter is, at 9 billion, we're over populated. It wouldn't take much to upset the global distribution of food, then you'd have people starving and dying. The worst thing we can do as a society ... is dismiss legitimate fears as "rubbish".”
TwoZeroOZ on May 14, 2014 at 10:33:05
“I dismiss it quickly because it's baseless and irrational.
"The government did a conspiracy in the past, THEREFORE my specific conspiracy theory is CORRECT!" is not a rational argument - sorry.”
