“They had separation of church and state in 1952 when their secular parliamentary democracy was overthrown because Prime Minister Mosadeh wanted to nationalize THEIR oil. We (the west) installed 'our' murderous dictator.... .leading, 25 years later to the Islamic revolution. The people will rid themselves of these clowns IF WE KEEP OUR HANDS OFF!”

“The Middle East and Africa of today are the products of CIA interference during the Cold War. The USA would rather a brutal dictatorship or monarchy (like in Saudi Arabia) that is capitalist than any democratic regime that had socialistic or communistic leanings.”

“GOD Bless you for the Truth of the USA, CIA and why repeating this today is the problem not the solution
But American live in LA LA LAND to day. Where Labor (genius and sweat) get 6% for doing all the work and the 1% get 90% for the return on their cash for no work
And America his dancing in the street and giving their KIDS to die to keep it.”
sgillhoolley on May 21, 2014 at 09:41:56
“Exactly, the USA is to blame for the radical government that sits in Tehran.”

“Just another example of the USA making it's own enemies.”
“I travelled there in the mid 70s. They were and are a great people. They were living under an extremist right wing dictatorship under the Shah at the time... and they had to obey somewhat different rules to avoid arrest and torture.
I know non-islamic Iranis who supported the Islamic revolution to get rid of him. Unfortunately it didn't turn out so well for them.
HOWEVER: In 1952 Iran was a secular parliamentary DEMOCRACY... until Prime MInister Mosadeh mused about nationalizing THEIR oil industry... then run by the forerunner of BP. The Brit secret service with help from the CIA overthrew him and installed their puppet dictator, the Shah....... setting us up for the revolution and today's theocracy.
Of course, THEN, the US had 'their boy' in the Arab world, Sadam Hussein invade in the 80s, killing another 300,000 Iranis.
What's surprising is that most Persians still like us.
They'll dump these clerics eventually....... if we or Israel don't bomb them.... again.”
“Um. I think, vandenbosch41, that bill14sun's comment was to illustrate that you telling any random muslim to 'move back to the middle east' is about as stupid as telling anyone with a European name (like you or I) to move 'back to Europe'. There are plenty of Muslims 'born and raised' in the US.... land of ... what was it... 'freedom of religion'? Or it used to be. Most of the industrialized world is but the US?... not so sure these days.”
“LOL. Gahilk, gahilk. Yup yup, them thar moslems are all ter'ists, uh huh, uh huh. ....er....Timothy McVeigh... was that a backpack he used in Oklahoma City?
Of course, how does one define a 'suspicious backpack'? Is my daughter's "Teddy Bear" backpack suspicious?.
(I suspect that you weren't serious with that comment.... and are aware that American TODDLERS killed more people in the US last year with legal firearms left lying around than actual terrorists... Fact)”
Reverend Flash on Sep 28, 2013 at 04:55:43
“Well, he did say 'Fact' at the end, so that kinda cinches it.”
“I wonder if the person or persons posting these signs consider themselves to be evangelical Christians... and therefore believe in the "fires of hell" threat. Suspect that this promulgation of hatred has likely moved them one step closer to those fires if they exist.”
Carolee Braxton on Jan 23, 2014 at 12:16:04
“Of course you believe that! It's out of the question that this parking overflow might have just simply interfered with employee and customer parking, lol.”
“Hilarious. You actually believe that. Do YOUR homework. The debt problem IS real but has been worsened, ironically by the neocon agenda. Paying twice to three times per capita for a failing hlthcare system, paying more then the rest of the G20 combined for military, supporting to the tune of billions a year, a rogue, apartheid state in the mid east, cutting tax rates on the top incomes...who actually spend/cycle a lower pc of their income.... The irony of the gullible poor red states actually BUYING this crap. Personally, I'll do fine....1%er and all that,.but I earned it productively, rather than stealing or inheriting....but I like paying taxes when it goes to keeping my country healthy, educated, and fed....it's the real Christian thing to do...insted of preparing for ome mythical "rapture". ;o)”
“LOL. Perhaps you failed to notice the unemployment rate falling again last month.... as it has more or less continuously for the last.... oh... 4 years.”

“It doesn't matter what actual facts may say. These nuts have been convinced any facts that show the President in a favorable light is a lie and a conspiracy to do them in. They're just one big miserable mess.”
Nascards on Dec 11, 2012 at 02:48:09
“Do your homework, it fell because of over 300 thousand people that have left the work force. We have the least amount of people working in the private sector since the 1960's. We also have under-employed or part time workers. Look at the unemployment rate state by state. You are looking at an average. The unemployment rate in Michigan is well above 10%, same with Neveda, New Jersey and Florida. Our work force is shrinking in the private sector and growing only in the government. Of the 800 thousand jobs that Obama claims to have created, 73% are government jobs and who do you think pays those people? You have it correct, the taxpayers. All of us.”
Mack753951 on Dec 11, 2012 at 00:37:42
“It's easy to fabricate lower unemployment numbers when you gain a few jobs, but hundreds of thousands suddenly stopped looking for work. You are not fooling anyone with that silly comment. You know this country is in a crash and burn cycle and you liberal dolts can't stop the triain wreck now. The national debt is increasing at a million dollars a minute and will never be paid back. Your way of life is about to suffer very badly so you better get your head out of the sand bucket.”
“........... and you, the 'arthor' of that comment clearly haven't read the most recent modelling of the industrial and other human carbon emissions starting in the mid 1700s which correctly predicts the current situation and essentially corroborates the already strong evidence for Anthropogenic Climate Change.
(and this modelling was done by (former) sceptics)”
trucker1000 on Dec 10, 2012 at 13:59:21
“Wrong the only clear evidence for AGW is in the future and climate models.”
trucker1000 on Dec 10, 2012 at 10:58:27
“Wrong look at the details of the report you are talking about”
“LOL. Nice try. This is consistent with the GOP strategy. First they try to 'crack' ACORN for registering voters who might not vote for them. Then they try to increase the ID requirements ... to limit access for voters who might not vote for them. Then they oppose same-day registration (of voters who might not vote for them)
This guy spent time arguing that same-day registration was too hard for the polling station volunteers... and then used it.”

“He didn't, his son did. Kid was a college freshman and probably had just turned 18 and wanted to vote in his first election. Registered to vote and did. My criticism of the political haters is my main criticism. This article was obviously posted so all the Walker haters could throw darts.
I'm from Pennsylvania and am seriously opposed to the voter ID law the Republicans elected just short of the election. For the elderly, disabled and those that typically don't have Pa driver's licenses (the voters targeted by democrats) the process of getting a state issued ID is nearly impossible. I helped an elderly client several years ago in her attempt to get a state issued photo (non-driver) ID. She didn't have a birth certificate. While the state had a record of her birth she couldn't get the birth certificate without the photo ID or driver's license and she couldn't get the ID's without the birth certificate. I had to go through my congressman's office to get it for her.
The just enacted voter id law was suspended for this election, and while I am still opposed to it is possible to see the effects of wide ranging Philadelphia City voter fraud in the results of the election here. Certain polling places didn't register a single (NOT ONE) republican vote. Wondered how that happened in the democrat controlled city?”
“If Israel is the cause, principled people like the author, Jewish Voices for Peace, Independant Jewish Voices, and the many Jews who have been and are leaders in the struggle for human rights in Palestine and elsewhere are...the cure.”
“Or maybe they're not blind to the statistics.
Is it any wonder that the weapons industry has, in the last decade or two taken to making semiautomatic weapons that look more like military assault rifles than hunting rifles.
Some boys just want to look like rambo.... must be compensating for something small.”
Leonid Rivkin on Feb 11, 2013 at 16:10:51
“Actualy statistic showes us what "Assault Rifles" are used in about 1% of homocides but comprise over 5% of firearms out there. They were only instrumental in 1 mass-shoting - and even in this shoting they could have been replaced with regular handguns with same result.
“Again, 'squid': No one's saying you can't learn to use a gun, Keep it properly stored... locked up safe from kids (or fits of rage) and use it for hunting, sport or anything else. (presuming you've had a background check... which, in most civilized countries is a breeze for a non-psychopath.)”

“You are embarassing yourself, Hal.
You clearly know nothing of history or of the current situation. (as evidenced by your "the only Indian (sic) plan I have heard....")
Have you read the omnibus bill? .... or even a synopsis? .... have you read any of the treaties of which we are in violation currently, that most first-nations east of BC signed when they let us use their land for our homes, farms, and resources?”
rob1234567 on Dec 23, 2012 at 23:32:34
“he is doing no such thing. many canadians are tired of BILLIONS going in and nothing ever gets better.
fine, if they want to stick to the treaties, we will stick to them, EXACTLY AS WRITTEN, not one single thing more.”
