There are a lot of people who agree with you, who actually did want an inquiry to begin with. But the view of many is that the inquiries credibility went out the window when there was "no money" to fund the 13 groups with expertise on sex work, particularly survival sex work, and knowledge of the conditions on the DTES, both at the time of Pickton's crimes and today.
To be able to find the dollars and time to hear from lawyers representing every officer whose name came up during the inquiry was simply a case of adding insult to injury as far as many were concerned.”
