“I'm all for her turning her life around and making a serious attempt at a come back but I don't think this is the right role for her, because as previous posters' have said Lohan looks nothing like the late great Liz Taylor.”
“I watched the comedy special on yahoo and Bill was hilarious with his brand of irreverent political humour as always. Super Pacs probably aren't a great thing (I don't know enough about them to make a firm educated decision one way or another) but they are around for this US election season so it is what it is. I'm glad that Maher is supporting Obama. This Canadian hopes that America re-elects him for a second term!”

“I really loathe the watchdog groups who think it necessary to push their view of the world onto everybody. Divorce should stay the way it is and it's ugly and nasty, sure, but making it harder to do will not make fewer people get divorced it will just make divorce more ugly. I think, if anything, maybe it should be a little harder to get married. Not that I think my views should be pushed onto anybody, but I think that if people had to live together before getting married, go to couples counselling, and get a prenup (which is actually the smart thing to do regardless of your annual after-tax income). I think with those three things you can pretty easily decipher if you want to marry the person. Although, I really don't believe that those should be implemented into anything because that would be a little too much government input in lives for me.”
“I think that if the kids want fried food and things that are unhealthy then the school should say, no but we'll try to give you different healthy options. But I also have problems believing that the lunches they are serving at the school's cafeteria are truly healthy. I think the kids should just bring their own lunches it's cheaper and you get exactly what you want.”

“I think the first season of Glee was definitely about something and had a specific purpose. It's season 2 and now 3 that lack the focus that the first season had that drew in the large fanbase. Now a days for live action drama/comedy there has to be a level of continuity that Glee just doesn't possess.”
“It's good that they will no longer defend that, it made no sense. I hope the law is changed and same sex couples get the same rights as every other couple. Sounds like a step in the right direction to me.”

“I'd agree except it isn't the job of Eric Holder to decide which laws the Justice Departmant will enforce. It's up to the Legislative branch of government to make or change laws.....not Eric Holder.”

“But same sex couples are not the same as normal couples. Same sex couples is a mental illness.”

“With divorce rates as they are does it really matter who marries who?”
“If only Cheney was in some position of power for eight years were he could have made it legal for gay couples to get married in the whole country. OH WAIT... that's right he was. Now that he's no longer VP where he could have influenced the former President on this issue he thought it much more important to shoot birds in cages. I'd like to give the guy credit for coming out in favor of Gay Marriage now but if just feels a little too little a little too late.
All the LGBT community is the same rights as heterosexual married couples(tax breaks, making sure that if you unexpectedly die the money you leaves goes to your spouse ALL of it not just half;etc), and in order to get those rights you have to call it a marriage.”

“George Bush wasn't against gay marriage either. It's just politics. They knew they'd never get elected on the strength of their positions. They needed to enflame the low information / big bias voters.”

“I would have loved to see him stand up for our rights when he was VP, but just to clarify your use of power, VPs have no power. We have no clue if he told Bush his feelings. What the VP feels will never see the light of day if the President was against it. As VP he can't publicly go out against the President unless he is ready for a new job.”

“The reason he was against it earlier is because...
at that time he did not know his daughter was lesbian.
Certainly not because he suddenly became a nice guy.”
“Let's be honest, Two and A Half Men is over and done. The problem with the show isn't just that the entire premise is completely forced now but it's that the show started to veer downhill a while ago which is the case for ALL scripted shows. It's a part of the TV industry, but normally a show can get at least good 9 seasons. This show just never had the staying power. The point was to be making inappropriate jokes around a kid that was barely bright enough to remember to tie his own shoes. Not to say the show was never funny, in it's early seasons it definitely was. Thus it found the audience that continues to stay with it and keep the ratings at a good level. But sometimes things just need to end. This show is one of those things.”
“A lot of big name artists don't write songs, this really isn't a story.”

“The book on it is called "Hit Men".. required reading for all who were in or intended to be in since it's publication in the late 1980s. Basically.. the music biz is a party for all involved UNTIL the artist figures out that all the BILLS are to be paid for by him/her out of his 3% to 10% of the gross while the record company walks away with the rest. The artist can only hope to last long enough to have a second bunch of hits or to be hot enough during a subsequent contract signing to be in a position to negotiate a higher share of the take and THEN hope that they will produce more hits after that contract is signed. All the while there are 100 ways to skin a cat and the sharks find ALL of them before you find yourself some representation that knows the business well enough AND whom you can actually TRUST to put your interests first and transparently negotiate agreements in your interest!!! What a nightmare when you throw drugs, personality disorders, infighting, and backbiting into the mix which Bobby Brown most certainly did.
There but for the grace of Mom and the good name of her dad went Natalie Cole!”
“Those are good, but I suggest watching The Firm. I've been loving it! I'm a huge Callum Keith Rennie find so it's nice to see him as a major character in another series. (If you've never seen Shattered which he did in 2010 I highly suggest doing it, it was only on for one season but he was so good in it). Also, the whole cast is great. I've been a Juliette Lewis fan for years. Josh Lucas is great. Molly Parker is also fantastic!”

“Candian media outlets rarely support and promote Canadian shows, actors, films, theater, artists, filmmakers, and even musicians. Which I think needs to be addressed. I do think our Canadian media should be owned and run by Canadians. Although, when talking about shows and all the other things I listed you wouldn't even know Canadians produce anything all we ever hear about are American shows, etc.”
“I do not believe that women are meant to carry that many children. Children are a blessing, sure, but going through pregnancy then labour and delivery is a trauma for the body. You get pregnant that many times and do it again of course there will be complications and health problems. Also, if having kids is that important why not foster care and/or adoption? There are so many kids in the world already that need a family and someone to love them.
I also don't understand why they support Rick Santorum but that's a whole different conversation.”
Barbara ForrestBall on Feb 13, 2012 at 19:05:01
“Rick Santorum wants to give state governments the right to ban contraception. I don't believe Santorum or either family are part of the Quiverfull Movement, though.”
