“Errr... I think you're incorrect, but we'll never find out because Vick has no reason to take the challenge. He's a multimillionaire and surrounded by yes-men and women. He just hasn't atoned for his actions, which is why he's haunted by them. People think he's atoned because he did some jail time. But he hasn't, and it's too bad, because someone with his profile and athletic success could be such a force for change for animal welfare. But he isn't, because he doesn't care. He doesn't get it.”
“Sicky Vicky would be curled up full fetal within one minute. This guy would crush him. And coward Vick would run away whimpering like a little girl, just like he does when he gets a boo boo on the field.”
Akhet on Sep 21, 2013 at 01:56:48
“Sicky? He was cruel to dogs, you are the one calling for a mans blood. But whatever. I want to see the fight. An over the hill over confident fighter with a hart problem verses an NFL player in excellent shape. Could be an upset. ”
“I tell ya, if I was a business that was featured on their website or facebook page I'd be howling mad right now. And I'd be busy scraping off any decals they'd done for me and demanding my money back.”

“And you wouldn't get it back. And if your decals were done half as good as this one you'd be very happy with the quality.”
“Where was the father of these children? Why wasn't he protecting them?”
marriedwitkidz on Jun 23, 2013 at 14:14:06
“Well the dad of the murdered child was waiting in CA very happily awaiting his baby girl visit. She was flying in from FL oh but than his world crashed because even though he tried to battle the mom for custody of his precious daughter ,the judge let mom keep her but gave him the whole summer. It was reported that she has a live in boyfriend and I believe at least one is his.So she really is not a single mom,and Charish's dad did try to legally get his daughter because he knew how momma was but keep kids with mom at any cost won out.Oh and since he did battle for her I would say he was paid up on his child support.Seems like she might not be on the level of "poor" most people here are thinking, unless neither adult in the home works but then they would both be deadbeats so I would think someone has a job. I hope so because mom is not gonna be getting her child support anymore since his child is now deceased.Sure hope someone is working their at still 2 kids at home. My heart breaks for her daddy who should be celebrating his daughters visit today but instead is flying in to Fl to bury his daughter. My God how does a Father recover from that? And all the family on her daddy side was most likely were counting the days till she was coming home.”

“A article I read mentioned a boyfriend, no mention of the father.”
Karmella on Jun 23, 2013 at 13:51:53
“The father is in California and the little one was suppose to go visit him this Summer. I also read in the Jacksonville newspaper that there was a custody dispute. One can only wonder why.”

“Is a father even in the picture these days? Multiple children with no father around seems to have become the norm.”

“She probably had no idea who the man was. Low life girl I used to work with had 3 kids, by three different men, all one night stands. The kids used to ask her, whenever a guy came over to her apt., mommy is that my daddy?”
Roger Womack on Jun 23, 2013 at 13:13:44
“A lot of fathers are just not in the picture anymore !”
“This is the most disturbing, horrifying story I have read in a long time. Simply heinous crimes by these men against these young women. I hope those depraved monsters spend the rest of their lives in isolation, forsaken by the rest of humanity. Just like those poor girls must have felt. Such despair.”

“I found this comment posted in response to the Newport massacre. It was so good, I copied it and now I'm reposting it:
"To the people who think they are preventing a police state or totalitarian regime by owning guns: if you tee off the government, you can have a whole arsenal of weapons and you know what you'll get? You'll get Waco. You'll get worse than Waco because the government has drones now.
You think you're going to mount an insurrection with guns against a totalitarian regime which has satelllites that can pick up your facial features from space? Which can track you through DNA, through GPS and through those said satellites which can track you in a mountainous area, a desert, a forest? You have some automatic weapons? Whoop dee do. The government has helicopters, hovering jets and drones with aerial night vision and can grease your whole "militia" with the flick of a lever. Bombs. Rockets. Flamethrowers. You and your automatic weapons will be carbonized metal and an oil slick from your melted body fat. You don't stand a chance, Mr or Ms Big Shot. So give it up. Your weapons can only kill citizens taken by surprise as they go about their day."”

“He did not avoid jail time. In fact, he's in jail right now for the weekend. He will be serving many weekends, probably until next spring. Just FYI.”
weaereaqual on Sep 21, 2012 at 23:14:11
“Where do you get that? The article says "90 day conditional sentence" which means that if he should get into trouble during his probation period he will have to serve those 90 days. He does not have to serve even one day if he does his community service and stays out of trouble.”
mtnestr on Sep 21, 2012 at 22:54:06
“He should be serving weekends plus all the days between the weekend as well for a few months. The sentence was a joke.”

“For those here claiming the the reporters and photographers were somehow overstepping their bounds in this incident, you need to know that the media advisory issued to them specifically stated that the Premier would be available for questions in a scrum after her speech. Apparently her new handler was either unaware of the release or went back on her word. Either way, scrums after events like these are common and expected in BC politics, and the media present were sent so that they could file immediately, in the case of radio, and for noon news casts, in the case of some television cameras. There are a lot of questions to be answered right now and the public would like to hear what the Premier has to say. Ms MacIntyre has parachuted in from Ottawa apparently unaware that there is no way her control measures would work for the media here. Her performance in front of the camera suggests an arrogance and level of unprofessionalism of which I'm pretty sure her boss is now keenly aware.”

“Yes I heard one of the reports actually state that fact to Sara who just brushed it off. Odd that so many would get the wrong idea.
I suspect that Sara's next move will be to identify the "friendly" media
Boy you know this actually looks bad on Harper as well as on Clark. Its kind of like a twofer”
“I dunno... I'm thinking it's just too good not to be some kind of marketing trick. I'm on the fence, because I know people like this exist, but... oh hell, I really don't know! I am interested to see if there are any legal ramifications, if it is true, for the person who took the photo and blogged it. The guy's signature is perfectly clear. Someone will out him, and from some of the comments here and on Reddit, he's become the most hated banker, ever! He should be in protective custody. If he exists...”
“Whilst I have no doubt that this kind of behaviour towards service people happens, I think this one might be a fake. Maybe not.. I'll be interested to see how it plays out, if the 'bankers' identity becomes known, or if there is any other fallout from it.
I always tip 15%, 20% if the service is very good. Tipping is such a cultural thing... there are some places in the world you wouldn't tip as it would be insulting to do so. North America? I couldn't walk out without leaving something.”

“Why don't restaurants pay their employees real wages then the employees wouldn't have to rely on the unpredictable "generosity" of customers?
Why do Americans put up with being treated so poorly? Why are employees are disposable?”

I was a waitress once and more than a few times, large, very demanding, dismissive parties* left NO tip.

“Please don't use the word "whilst." Use "while." Doing so would've upgraded your comment to, at most, insensitive and pretentious.
“I'm sorry you experienced such hateful and ignorant treatment. But part of me is grateful it was you, because you're writing is so impactful and honest and human. It is bound to reach some people who previously were unreachable. Thank you.”

“I love how some people who've had kids truly believe they've become better people, less selfish, more giving, more insightful about the world etc etc... when in fact they just reproduced and remain essentially the same person they were before the child arrived. Except now they've taken on an air of importance and entitlement that makes them unbearable, particularly in restaurants where they inflict their Special Little Snowflakes (you know, the one who's going to cure cancer and save the world) on the rest of us. I like kids. It's the parents who suck.”
