“It didn't implode or collapse or have all out civil war, but you can be certain that the province is still far behind in infrastructure maintenance. It wasn't all that long ago that chunks of bridges were falling on highways.”

“Too many infrastructures for too little population. Québec has the most extensive road network per capita in Canada, which, in my view, is a major drag on public finances and on the economy. But we can't just throw these down and convert highways to boulevards because people are used to these candies and want to keep them.
I wish we'd be like BC: they have almost no highway in their cities, that probably saved BC residents billions upon billions of dollars over the years. Québec has built highways in cities at an insane rate, the Décarie highway alone cost 370 millions for 6,3 km in 1967, about 2,5 billion dollars in 2014 money, and rebuilding the Turcot interchange that Décarie needed will cost us 3,7 billions. And that's just one highway and one interchange.
FTR, the US has the same problem. They have had falling bridges and they are much behind on infrastructure maintenance. The issue is not wealth, the issue is too many expensive infrastructures, way more than is actually needed.”
“There are many companies, all with equally good reasons to loathe their existence. Alas, only ten could be deemed Champions of Villany.”

“Why should they be loathed?
Why do you view any of "Champions of Villainy"?
None force you to do business with them. All provide a product or service that people want or they would not exist.
The Leftist view of corporations seems to be that they are evil because they are profitable.
If they were not profitable, they would not exist and you would not have the goods and services they provide. If you were willing to do without, those companies your choose to hate would cease to exist.”

“Every packet on the network is looked at by the router, and routed based on the destination address. Destination addresses that are internal are left on the internal network. Destination addresses that are external are routed out of the network.
Many routers have tracking abilities already, as they can be configured to enforce limits on clients. Since most routers get supplied by the ISP, it's no stretch to have a misconfigured router tracking all data on the network instead of external-only tracking.”
