For-Profit Prisons Are Big Winners Of California's Overcrowding Crisis

“They're already here working on Wall Street and their business model is fraud...securing border doesn't stop the REAL crime, just the petty stuff. The jails are already full of petty criminals, mostly weed offenses. It does keep the prison industry very rich and busy. It's just too bad it's always at the expense of little people. The costly crime is never punished. All they get are fines which are tax deductible. So the real crime costs taxpayers twice.”

“The trick is the Bank of Canada should be printing $85 billion a month. I works for the USA. The trouble is we aren't actively devaluing the Canadian dollar. If we did it would rise, obviously. just look South. I know it seems counter intuitive but that is the new economics. Up is down, down is up. If you think its illegal, just do it. If you think its financially stupid, just do it. You will be rewarded in this New World.”

“Indeed, it was the first time skyscrapers had ever fallen, ever, whether hit by planes or anything else. It was a sight to behold. All that material cascading up and out as it was exploded. That's how you handle 110 stories. You can't have it just topple over now can you? Building 7 was more routine. More obvious. It simply collapses, all supports going at the precise same moment. These were the most expert demolitions I have ever seen, live or on YouTube. But, yes, they were demolished. And yes, it was treason. Too bad America hadn't developed any air defense of its most precious, people intensive, seat of government and finance, isn't it? When you think about it Bin Laden was smarter than the entire defense department, and all 16 intel agencies put together. If what you believe to be true actually occurred. I am not so naive. Building 7 is really the smoking gun though. All you need are eyes connected to enough brain cells to see it.”

See what I mean? You may think this is food but your body fills with inflammation every time your stuff yourself with this faux food.”

“Think. Dozens of steel girders have to fail at exactly the same time everywhere in the building in order that it fall directly down into its own footprint. Further one would think that even if this impossible feat were to occur that some little bit of resistance would be given by the floors below thereby slowing the fall. But no, the falls are perfect, as perfect can be and as fast, as fast as can be. I have a million other concerns(i.e., two months of 2000 degree fires underground following the "collapses") that are unanswered but those two are good starters.”

gramma61 on Nov 28, 2013 at 12:11:40

“The fires burning underground do not surprise me.There were multiple sources for oxygen .In fact I am surprised they did not spread further because so much of NY has an underground catacomb.
I used to use one when I worked in NY from 42 to 34 St..and there were doors leading who know where in the tunnel...nevermind the subway etc...”

gramma61 on Nov 28, 2013 at 12:06:38

“No..I do not agree with you.You are assuming a certain order had to have occurred ..say top to bottom ..vice versa. Why would their have to be resistance by floors below? They could have been compromised .Cracks do not follow in specific order. They take the path of least resistance. Also you have to attribute the fact that upper floors were intact initially and how they pushed hard and fast downward...There is the possibility that the building could be compromised at the bottom levels at the same time...It would be like squeezing an accordian ..just vertically.”

So we are still left with trying to understand how three tall buildings "fell" into their own footprint at virtual free fall speed on 9/11 without the help of explosives. Now there's a physics problem for ya!”

Tgallant on Nov 28, 2013 at 11:20:54

““I can confirm that the decision was not Chrystia Freeland’s,” Barb Burg, Reuters global head of communications, said in an email.

“It was a corporate one that resulted from extensive financial review and changing customer needs.”

A senior source with knowledge of the decision-making process put it this way: “It was a corporate decision that she executed.””

Then low and behold Molson's is in trouble. Well, unfortunately it will be closed down, because, after all, business is business. This was all so predictable. That is what happens to branch plant economies. American companies do this all the time. We can never flourish except if allowed to by U.S. business. A slave branch plant economy can only hope and pray the "mother country" allows us to prosper. Pathetic, is the word that comes to mind.”

We will be required to lower standards, in food, medicine, finance, labor and many other things that will negatively affect us all.
Only 600 corporations and the 12 countries involved know what is actually in it and they aren't telling, because they know we would organize against it. They will try to present it a fait accompli. A legal coup so to speak.”

“Yeah, the only problem is that working doesn't pay the bills anymore. With unions being broken the minimum wage becomes the norm. In the USA there are 40 millions working poor who need food stamps to survive, and now government assisted health care payments to maintain their health care. These government programs keep the peace and allow the Corporations to get away with immorally low wages.”

piceaglauca on Oct 31, 2013 at 15:37:48

“O)bviously not here but in Mexico the cost of doing business is considerably less and therefore the wage will cover the need. By the way everyone in Mexico gets full medical. The streets however are diry, not well lit, and except for the resorts the infrastructure isn't fully there. Yes I am aware of some 40% of Americans receive some type of social assistance. As this number grows the GDP should decrease. Companies will close because they can't be afforded. More emphasis on taking less and giving back more by large corporations would be the answer but why should they. They are too busy abusing emerging countries.”
