“I'm sure he's more entertaining than 99% of the judgemental, hypocritical women on this board. He's not sad. She might be, but I bet her days are more entertaining than yours, ladies. Her duties probably don't include that much of what you're worrying about, and I'm sure he reciprocates in the ways he can. Lots of women find older men attractive, especially when money is part of the deal. You made the rules, ladies. I'm sorry the opposite is not true.
Do all 73-year-old guys look like that, though? If so, I'm scared for my future.”
“It is partly her fault. She's an overly self-obsessed blank. He couldn't stay married to that forever. Plus, he's a rockstar on the road, open to adventure any day, and prob no woman can compete with that. But besides that, there's jsut something grating about Paltrow that's hard to quanitfy. I understand everyone's jealous of her success, but as a guy, she just seems vapid. Not stupidly yokel, like a Britney Spears, but just blank. Her singing attempts, boring appearances in Iron Man and boring guest stars on various shows didn't improve my impression of her. She has all the power in the world, and seems to have no ability to do anything with any of it.”
“So an artist has talent and technical chops, and they spend their entire life making statements about the appearance of women, either as perceived by men, or by women. Someone needs to look up Old Masters before comparing her work to them.
Not only that, the artist or other complainers bore the world to tears complaining about the biological setup forever instead of caring to analyze it of be fatalistic and understanding of it.
Yuskavage claims not to care about this ONE issue anymore, and yet her work is endlessly infused with it. I can't believe she's been touted as one of the most important artists of the last decade. Important to one target market. This work says nothing about the last 40 years other than women have problems with their looks, and she'll tell us all how they should look. Wow, stop the presses, what a revelation. How about some paintings of women judging men based on their capacity to provide for the human larva that must come out regardless of the ramifications locally or globally. Not gonna happen. Great artists encompass variety and balance in their messages. This artist has one message and you are going to bow down to it. Exclusive and very dated in the 1970s and not getting out.”
“Chumsky is out to lunch on this one. There's 100 times more evidence for a 911 conspiracy than for the JFK assassination. Of course, it was a bigger job. The idea there weren't witnesses - there were, and the innocent ones are dead many of them. Important footage of the moment has been confiscated and destroyed. The steel from the towers was never analyzed, it was shipped as scrap to China before it could be analyzed, in direct contradiction to every airline crash ever before conducted, where the plane sits reconstructed for years by the NTSB.
The idea that it would take a ton of people - it doesn't when VP Cheney throws military exercises and puts most forces out of reach so a special group of AF guys, who are radically right-wing hoohad monsters, can fly AWACS or whatever secret planes they used, and then cruise missile the Pentagon. It wouldn't take more than 50-100 people to rig the towers to explode, and there was night renovation work going on. The towers were insured to the hilt, even though they were loaded with asbestos that was going to cost one billion to remove. The list goes on and on and on, and yet every conspiracy DENIER is an expert without answering any of these critical questions like why have high rises burned for days across the world and yet never collapsed, why did these towers collapse at freefall, etc etc. Chomsky - RETIRE.”

“Compared to the best music of 20 years ago, let alone 40 years, all of these artists are a joke. Jay Z is boring, and knows zero about Magna Carta or the Holy Grail. Kanye can produce, but his vocals are awful. Cyrus is trialer trash. THe music industry is an abomination right now.”
“SOme bad things will happen, but some of the worst things won't happen. None of this will happen before 30 years. However, let's act right now!
We should band fracking to save our water supply, not to prevent global warming.
It gets hot a few years, then we have a cold year like this winter in Seattle.
There's no way to motivate people around these abstractions. Hurricanes and tornados - maybe.
Actually, anyone in high school or college should be very concerned. A twenty-year-old will be facing the issues, on average, for at least the next sixty years. But global warming is already having impact, something that people with enormous wealth would like other people to ignore.
A majority of people already believe in global warming. Given that our economy is still struggling, a major effort to expand alternative energy over the next forty years would probably be a considerable boon to the economy, creating jobs and income.”
“He was in an area that was basically an extended office park. Big atreets, gradual turns. Probably not a lot of traffic at all this weekend. A tempting time for a 'friend' to try to show off to his movie star friend in the big car movies. You would think Pual Walker at 40 had probably seen this happen a million times, and was probably telling the guy to lay off. Doesn't seem to have been a good selection of friends, but what else is new.
This is a lesson - don't speed, race at a track not in the street, don't be a passenger with lunatics driving, and pick your friends carefully.”

“The driver was Roger Rodas, a long-time friend, a financial advisor and former racecar driver.”
“typical sad uneducated mammal, replete with colloquialisms and exclamation points and capitals, plus the know-it-all attitude backed up with nothing but smug, blind worship of 'conservatism', a political buzzword whose backers never TRULY define and back up, just change it to support whatever the newest criminal expedition they're on.”
“America is a country predicated on the rich abusing and exploiting everyone else. It isn't just health care. I fully expect us to return to that principle on health care as we're not moving forward on any other topic involving public interest thanks to the seditious and evil republicans. This idea that we're going to go forward is a joke. The only possible chance that this gets solved is that health care is sandbagging our economy, but so are other pointless industries, from energy to banking to arms sales. America is rotten to the core. Obama lost the best chance ever to reform it, and he was too ivy league for the job. Puh-thetic.”
“Cry me a river. Go bust another union and send work to slave and child labor in China, who are now using our own money to buy our country.
Go sell more arms, and go invade countries and ruin our reputation internationally. Deregulate Wall St, and let them blow the entire nation's wealth on speculative binges.
Repubs have had the real power. Sure, there are Dems who sold out to them, like the Clintons, and the enigma in the WHite House, but there are ZERO moral republicans. You are so out to lunch.”

“Scooter, perhaps you should read something besides bumper stickers and comic books. The Congress has the real power in washington. Democrats have controlled both houses of Congress for almost 60 of the past 80 years ! If there has been any selling out it's been just the opposite of your imagined opinion >”
“This is going to be over sooner than anyone expects. The elitist lobbyist serving major media will have to start reporting on the successes happening in, SURPRISE, the states that ran their own exchanges. I signed up in WA State, it was a piece of cake.
It's deliberate Republican sabotage that is causing many if the problems, and when their voters discover how they are getting in their way of health care that their friend or relative has in an intelligent state, then game over for pig governors like Scott Walker and Kasich and Rick Nutcase Scott. The filth on the right is about to catch fire and make a very public stench.”
“So let me get this straight. Yahoo hired a Google exec because she had something to do with their Mail program? Did she code any of it? Can she code anything? Or is she just another lame manager who Yahoo overpaid, and Google was probably glad to let go of to come over and tell a bunch of coders 'hey, let's change your mail this way.'
Like with windows 8 and that stupid new iOS7, and Adobe's current debacle over their ridiculous cloud software program, it would seem there's a lot of overpaid hacks at the head of these companies. Life must be sweet getting paid for essentially nothing but going to meetings and ignoring the people who actually have to make the things work and release them to the public.”
“Women like this have never heard no their entire lives. That's why they suck in these kind of tech positions where multiple iterations of a product are required before roll-out. Men are overreaching too. It's called you're a manager, not a designer, and get out of the way, because someone below you knows what to do, but you have to guard your fiefdom. Typical corporate politics.”
“So tell me, why does Cabellas sell these things? Are they covered under your beloved second amendment? Any company that sells these in this gunnut nation is an amoral profiteer.”

“They typically are used for short range target shooting (paper targets, cans etc.). They have been used for decades in schools for competition. They are good for instructing young hunters on the proper handling of guns. That golf club people like to swing has less accuracy and is more lethal than a pellet gun and would be much more effective in defending oneself. Nothing to do with the second amendment.”
“The officer is a pig and a nazi looking for someone to shoot to validate his loser bully mentality. Wonder how many women and children he slaughtered overseas? I'm sure that's ok with you for the flag and apple pie, Let's all pat ourselves on the back. I'm sure you defend the right of the company to produce a pellet gun for children in the middle of a war zone called the USA.
Congrats on the great society you've built defending warmongers overseas and gun dealers at home. You are about as far from a thinking patriot as is possible.”

“Wow, such rhetoric, pity you don't have any facts to back it up eh?
This is the first time this officer has shot a suspect in 24 years. How long have you been a police officer?”
