“I didn't want to buy a BlackBerry until that cool dude, Thorsten Heins, absolutely rocked the place at the BB10 launch and so persuaded me. His obvious feel for the customer, strategic insight, smooth talk and German accent are all so much cooler than the bar Steve Jobs set ........”

“Because of STEVE, America lost millions of JOBS and thousands of businesses went under.

“Not to stretch a point too far but Sheryl knows that it takes All Kinds of People and would be able to tell what she saw Behind Blue Eyes. Even though she probably wants to Make It Go Away in this Sad Sad World of ours, she might have told Lance: "I will be Always On Your Side" when he told her "I'm Gonna Be A Wheel Someday" and told her why. In the end she knows better than anyone that Every Day Is a Winding Road.”
“Well said. So...who was the main beneficiary of JFK's passing? Who, above all, had the motive, opportunity and means? The person who benefited most, had local power in Texas to manage those who planned and did the crime and then, with his new position, he got the extra power he needed to cover it up.”

“The Owners of the Federal Reserve were the beneficiaries.”

“America ceased being america after this country was hijacked by the founding of the Federal Reserve in 1913 and it has been on a downward spiral ever since. Just imagine, a private corporation, disguised to be a branch of the Federal Government, whose shares are owned and controlled by the wealthiest bankers and industrialists the world over, is allowed to print Federal Reserve Notes in a wonton and irresponsible manner, and then loans this fiat money back to our Federal Government - with interest mind you. Always keeping us in a state of debt. What a plan. What an idea. What an illegal piece of legislation. Kennedy wanted to change all that in 1963 when he signed Executive Order 11110 http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/executiveorder11110.htm.”
“So...with living conditions deplorable, then this land is a matter for Canada and Canadian taxpayers to resolve (read "pay more"). But...when funds appear to have been mismanaged (at least), and Canadians and their media want a look-see, then this land reverts to local status. It would seem to be time to revisit what constitutes treaty rights and how much is enough when it comes to shelling out.”
“It is just possible that the mentally ill ones are the those who already own assault weapons and perceive everyone else is nuts - and out to get them. Any steps that can be made to reduce gun ownership, especially for assault weapons, can only help to reduce death-by-gun. Why that would be seen by anyone to be a bad thing eludes me.”

“Hmm, I would imagine there are many things that elude you.”

“This matter has been studied at great length in previous studies and now by the Standing Senate Committee on National Finance. More specifically, the Finance Committee studied the potential reasons for price discrepancies in respect of certain goods between Canada and the United States. Some of what you hypothesize plays into this but there are many more issues and some are more relevant (and fact-based) than those you identify. Google "Canadian retail prices too high" and you'll see what I mean.”

“Care to elaborate? Googling "Canadian retail prices too high" is not going to be very helpful to me since I've actually studied this topic for many years have conducted primary research. I did it anyway and the top two links fall into the explanations I gave (mainly 2 and 3, the first link is good but I already mentioned the distribution channel as a source of higher local costs).
The truth is that any explanation has to fall into either (a)higher taxes, (b)higher costs, or (c)higher profits in a pure accounting sense. You can do a lot to unpack that but you cannot debate an accounting identity or accuse me of making an irrelevant or non fact-based comment. ”
While you save your 20 bucks we pay for the inflated emergency room visits the employees make to see a doctor for lack of benefits.....to the tune of millions, maybe even billions. Watch the surrounding competition decimated pushing people out of jobs and depressing the surrounding areas economy.
So while you enjoy your instant gradification just rememeber......it comes back around.
