“Wow. From the article I was expecting a hard core hip hop video.
This song and band just suck, straight up suck. Horrible instrumentalists and quite possibly the worst singers I've ever heard. The hardest thing to understand is how a band so bad actually gathered enough money for a professional music video.”

“Well it was a good acoustic lead in there and that's about it.”

“"low level on intellect of... shop employee"
Did you watch the same video as us?
The shop owner won. It went exactly as he hoped. He couldn't have played it any smarter. Also he owns a jewellery store, pretty much one of the first businesses that should have a weapon for self defense on hand.
If you can't acknowledge these things with your own eyes then you shouldn't be questioning the shop employee's level of intelligence.”

“Two wrongs don't make a right, and the shopkeeper stands to be charged as he is guilty of assault with a deadly weapon...equal force... That's the terminology of our Criminal Code....the shopkeeper was lucky, if by chance a firearm was produced he may have ended up dead, in the end, yes I've watched the video, yes luckily he won. We do not agree on "equal force" or segments of our criminal code that would make him liable to an assault charge.....it's ok to agree to disagree and leave it at that.”
“There goes Lauryn Hill again forgetting she's a singer and thinking she's Bob Marley reincarnate. Except Bob Marley had way more love in his words and much less blackness in his heart.
I've been a fan of hers since I can remember and for over a decade she has done everything except what she does best... sing!”

“He created a world for himself in which, as an artist, he cannot exist. Kanya bugs me a lot. But I've always defended lyricists because they are creating a poem to describe a feeling that suits a certain piece of music and you can't translate poetry to prose. Kanye is the first lyricist that I can think of who truly walks a line between poetry and prose. He's injects a lot of literal meanings into specific lyrics, however trivial or immature they might be, while still adding many figurative elements to the lyrics. By doing this, he is opening himself up to a lot of analysis other, strictly figurative, lyricists wouldn't be subjected to.
I've always believed that artists are most interesting when there is a bit of mystery surrounding them. It allows the critic/listener to build there own image of the work they put out. By name checking Beyonce, Jay-Z and instagram in 1 verse, Kanye has pulled the plug on any mystery and figurativeness he may have had left, while refining a musical style that may actually start to get bigger than we think.”

What kind of charity has the audacity to go around booking 20,000 dollar speakers???
And then only sells 120 tickets to top it all off?
They should have their charity shut down and the entire board should be audited.”

“All kinds actually, that's how Trudeau makes his walking around money. And how dare they try and raise money for their charity by bringing in a guest speaker. That NEVER happens, always. Your knowledge of fundraising is impressive lol.”

“They paid for a service. He provided the service. They failed in their job. He performed his duties.
Even if it was the next day, and not a year later like it actually is, he shouldn't be expected to give the money back.”
“Releasing it to the public would include first owning it. Owning it would mean first purchasing it. Purchasing it would mean first knowing where it and the people selling it can be found. You've jumped ahead a few steps.”
“That's funny because all of these delays you speak of didn't stop them from rushing to break the story without any actual proof.”
Awetitu on May 31, 2013 at 10:26:09
“Also, the delays are with regards to releasing the video to the public. They've seen it "firsthand" as it were, so there's no "rush" on their part.”

“Two well-respected (at least in journalism circles, but not amongst Fordites) journalists at the Star saw the video, and the guy from Gawker saw a video with someone who looked like the Mayor in it, I'm inclined to believe that as reporters that cover City Hall, they'd know what he looked like.”
“I'm sorry but there is still no actual evidence and I would rather be someone who waits for the proof rather than be someone who jumps in on the unjustified feeding frenzy just to be able to say "I told you so"”
Awetitu on May 31, 2013 at 10:26:37
“There's no evidence that YOU'VE seen, but three reporters have, and that's a good start, in my books, towards establishing credibility.”
