Justin Trudeau's Family Home Broken Into While Wife And Children Slept

Justin Trudeau's Family Home Broken Into While Wife And Children Slept

“Am I the only one who seriously suspects that this is part of Harper's pre-election campaign? Change the rules for Election Canada so you can undermine the NDP's funding and disconcert your main threat by leaving a threatening letter for his family. Burglars don't leave threatening letters. Nothing would surprise me after a little pipsqueak takes the fall for the robocalls scandal that clearly originated higher up.”

“Stanfield and Joe Clark were Conservatives with dignity and high morals whom I always admired as true Canadians, even if I wouldn't have voted for them. This parcel of Reform/Alliance carpetbaggers in Ottawa cannot be considered Conservatives for a moment. The sooner we get rid of this bunch of thugs, the sooner we can rebuild the Canada I love.”

vogonpoet42 on Jul 2, 2014 at 11:45:47

“I agree wholeheartedly. While I would have never voted for Stanfield or Clark, they were both men of principle and integrity, whose views I could respect even if I did not agree with them Those who follow that Red Tory tradition seem to be viewed with suspicion and at times outright contempt by the current incarnation of the Conservative party.”

“No, it doesn't: it shows that despite being almost the lowest in funding per student BC has been fortunate to have dedicated, hard-working teachers who have successfully kept this system afloat. Or don't you think these results attest to what good teachers you undeservedly have? Or don't you think?”

“While working summers as a highway flag man, I did indeed see an American car, a Volkswagen Beetle with Florida licence plates, that had a pair of downhill skis on it. The two young men must have been from the University of Tampa, according to the parking sticker, so I asked them if they were planning to drive the 2000 miles to the Rockies to go skiing. They were not amused.”

“Interesting how all the posters below immediately assume that the story about a potential hoax is true. "Innocent until proven guilty." Sound familiar?”

kensp on Jun 24, 2014 at 15:36:45

“The above story leaves out some vital information. Other stories written about the incident make it clear that the restaurant security cameras and cash registers contradict Grandma's account of what happened. So I am not assuming that it is a hoax, I am concluding that it probably is based on the objective evidence available. I am as sympathetic towards this poor little tyke as anyone else but my sympathy does not overrule my ability to reason and weigh evidence.”

mikeincalgary on Jun 24, 2014 at 14:41:20

“The party to which the term "Innocent until proven guilty" applies to in this case is the KFC employee.”

“The legislative package of 1987 that removed compulsory membership in the BCTF for teachers and established a College of Teachers, also gave full bargaining rights to teachers, including the right to strike. Teachers were provided the option of choosing an “association” model with limited bargaining rights and no strike option or a “union” model with the full scope of employment conditions negotiable and the right to strike. All 76 locals of the BCTF chose the union model and the first round of bargaining under the expanded rights took place in 1988/89.”

“Arnie, find me a teacher in BC earning $95K. I'm at max. and I earn $82,000 and haven't had a pay increase in three years. The wonderful thing about the truth is it is true, whether you chose to believe it or not. I'd love to hear your thoughts about the 12 years of Liberal cutbacks in education, the fact that BC students received $1000 less a year in funding than the national average, the loss of librarians, special needs teachers and resources, the illegal stripping of teachers' contracts, the $2million fine the Liberals haven't paid yet, as they appeal the Supreme Court's ruling for the fourth time. Comments?”
