“Z E R O dollars and Z E R O sense!”

jeffreyptr on Dec 5, 2013 at 20:43:17

“That's a question you get answered with a strike. Get enough support and workers get higher pay. If not workers either won't get a raise or they'll get replaced. The executive's job is to protect profits. Executives that do earn their higher pay in the eyes of stock holders or board. Executives that don't get replaced. Work is a trade, you don't get a higher wage just because you want or need it. You have to convince those that have the money that you are worth it to them to pay you more.”

“First, I want to say “good for you” and I sincerely mean that.
The problem is partly due to the shortage of jobs that pay a living wage and also, the shipment of manufacturing jobs overseas. Not everyone is going to be a rocket scientist, but the jobs that do not require a degree, should at least pay a wage which parents can support their families.”

“My Grandmother paid for "cancer" insurance for years and when she got cancer, guess what? They would not pay her anything. It was a good thing that we had a Democratic Insurance Commissioner. She made them pay. The point of my story is that there are sub-par policies in the market place that did not pay when people actually needed them.
Do you think that this was right?”
