“She was great in Corrie till they decided she had to go. The storyline they have given her to run up to it totally changed her character to unbelievable. They will regret this decision in a while.”

“Have to agree with TheresaK. As soon as a character is going to be written out the silly story line begins. Then a total change of personality. I find it hard to believe that Tina would be besotted by Peter. That is the world of soap for you it seems the exit plots stretch our belief to the limit.”
“I haven't been on Huffpost in a while for reasons that are best left unexplained but who is Patrick?”
sgwidnes on May 23, 2014 at 05:39:03
“Oh please, please, please............I could link you to his website, but he has closed it down, on there you could have admired his bungalow, where he lives near Brighton, he is a "Labour Guy" and he has a script written by Brussels on why the UK should never ever leave the EU, some people believe he is a paid EU blogger or even a machine.”

“patrick is labours spokesman on huff he just puts the party line every day he is always "on message"”
“Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion and we all see things differently but in this particular case I have to say no, the Prince should not have said what he did. This is because if the likes of the nomal man on the street said it, they would be ignored, but the Prince, the future King of England ...no, it kind of put the stamp of view of the country.
The politicians who are paid to do the job have to be very careful how they word things ...as UKIP are now finding out to their disgrace (those politicians should be sacked for bringing racism into the party) so to have someone of such high standing slipping out something that would have been better kept as thought ...
He's much akin to his father isnt he, though he lacks Philip's wicked sense of humour sadly, and says what he and probably many just think. Mind you this was a personal chat with someone and not a public announcement. Still, it was a stranger and more tact and diplomacy should have been shown.
Mere words in such a situation could cause a war with the way some countries behave.”

“Yeah sadly - health and safety types ....thing is if we all make these arrangements then what can they do? Something will have to be arranged to help and organise to make safe because when someone decides to do it, they WILL do it.
Having watched my grandmother and now my mother go through dementia, you can bet I have had a serious talk with my daughters. There is NO WAY I am putting myself or them through that.”

“Yes. this is a big problem, they wouldn't let an animal suffer, yet humanity has to,”
I am far from being racist and yet this song is the link between my daughters and myself - I have a wall hanging depicting it as I used to sing this to them when they were small. I admit to only knowing the first part of the song but even so I never realised that this name appeared in it.
Being an old song and one not considered racist in its day - I would say this poor DJ has had a totally rum deal at the end of his career at the hands of the BBC but isnt this the BBC all over? Cannot get much right at all. All or nothing in the wrong quotas.”
“Same here. Recently downloaded Chrome as a new game I play wouldnt load all its components unless it was on Chrome and the site is crashing constantly or some components will not work without continual re-booting. I have never had any problems with Firefox - brilliant.”
“So you are clever at coming up with links to proverbs - still not fitting for a discussion site though. Let us hear your thoughts instead, if you have any.”
Catalina George on Apr 28, 2014 at 05:43:41
“It's not worth sharing my thoughts with somebody who is incapable to see the relevance of a simple proverb in the context.
You can always access my comments area to see what my thoughts are. To you this is all I have to say.”
“I do think that Farage started out with the right intentions but ended up taking on the wrong candidates. Poor vetting.
He really needs to close UKIP, start over and be far more careful that he picks the right candidates who want the best for this country but are minus the racist streak.
This candidate could possibly have just responded to Lenny's statement that as there are not enough blacks on TV in this country then go to a country where you will find more? Very tactless I agree but racist - No. He was responding to a statement with a logical answer albeit minus any forethought. In his position he should be on top of the tact and diplomacy, hence he should without a doubt lose his post with that party.
Farage has a lot of thinking to do and some big decisions to make. His party was the answer to many prayers at the start but now, it is turning into a total embarassment.”
“No, quite wrong. The party was started with all good intent - the problem I believe is the candidates hired without proper vetting. Could be the right party with many of the dubious 'BNP' style candidates removed.
UKIP needs to start over - with just those they actually know are of the right calibre and then vet the remainder far better.
You do not have to be racist to want better for this country. The problem with this country is it has been taking in immigrants for far too long and now it is proverbially sinking under the weight. Something has to be done, borders closed/stop Brussels from having the last word on how we run our country etc etc - I don't know, but SOMETHING has to be done. But it is not racist ...if you like it is immigrationalist - there, does that sound better?”

“This time last year, UKIP was activly camaigning to 'steal' votes from the BNP, the resulting colapse of the BNP vote at last years local elections secured UKIP its percentage of the vote Farrrage appears to be so proud of. Now at the time, if asked, UKIP would strongly deny any suggestion that was their intention although only a few weeks ago, Farrrrage announced how happy he was that UKIP had managed to attract so many votes from the BNP.
Now you say, candidates have been selected (not hired) without proper vetting, which is strange because both Farrrrrage and UKIP have made many statements in the past saying that people with previous history of involvement in either the BNP or NF would not be allowed to join UKIP. So one has to ask, what vetting of candidates are they actually doing, because what ever it is, clearly it is not working.
That brings up the question of the support UKIP have been giving to these 'dodgy' candidates once their past comes to light. Do they thank the journalists for drawing this un-welcome representive to their attention and take appropiate action. No - they whing about how they are being picked upon in a manor which seems to suggest that they are embarrassed at being caught trying to slip one past the referee.
If UKIP was truely none rascist, then it would not be selecting such candidates as this gentleman and would not be chasing such 'dodgy' votes.”
