Stephen Brown is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Ottawa. His main research interests are foreign aid, democratization, political violence, peace-building and transitional justice, mainly in relation to Sub-Saharan Africa. His work has been published in a number of edited volumes and journals, including Third World Quarterly, European Journal of Development Research, Canadian Journal of Development Studies, Journal of Contemporary African Studies, Canadian Journal of African Studies and Latin American Perspectives.
