Bullying Ends Here: How You Can Help

Well another school year has just started and "Bullying Ends Here" is in high demand across North America. I am on a mission to continue telling the world about a boy named Jamie Hubley and hope that his story, along with my own, will show youth that they have support and have someone that they can communicate with through email at any time. I have received over 5000 emails in 6 months and I respond to each and every one of them. That is my commitment to youth. I will help any way that I can.

How Being a Bully Made me Better at Business

Ten years ago when I started my MBA, I pulled up to the school thinking that everyone inside of it would be douchey. They were business people, after all, and all business people were either bullies or scammers of some sort. I was sure that I would be the only half decent reformed bully there. Turns out, I was the douchey one for assuming the worst of them. And the time of the bully has passed.

I'm Taking on Bullying in Memory of My Daughter, Amanda Todd

On Saturday, it will be 10 months since my daughter, Amanda, left us. I am trying to keep myself busy so I don't feel that dark cloud come upon me as it does every month. I am excited to meet all the people who have come into my life in the past 10 months. They all have made a difference and that's what it is all about. They rally around and support and make change. I am so happy to finally meet, hug, say hello and share stories. These are all warm and giving people.

What It Costs to Prevent Bullying

I began my anti-bullying initiative in mind in late-2012 for one reason: to tell the world about a boy named Jamie Hubley and how bullying-related deaths like his are preventable. I have spoken in four provinces to date and am now confirmed to speak in six more this coming school year. I have been asked to present to over 500 schools across the Canada and the United States and now turn to you for help.

Bullycide: A Parent's Unrelenting Nightmare

Unlike most emotional injuries, the core and source of the pain never changes at all -- I can go right back to December 5, 2006 literally in a heartbeat. I try not to do that, and therein lies one of the fundamental truths of the matter. Even I thought that by now I'd be free of the worst effects of my experience, I've come to realize that that sort of wishful thinking doesn't ring true.

Over 60 Million Children Aren't Getting an Education

Our son graduated from high school in June. He's grateful. Living in North America with access to public school is a luxury that we will never take for granted. As he walked across the stage, I thought about the 60 million children in our world who are not getting an education. An education is the way out of poverty and the ultimate peace weapon to end war.

There's No Age Limit on Bullying

There is no age limit on bullying. Winston Churchill wrote: "You have enemies? Good. That means you have stood up for something in your life." Bullies don't stand up for anything. They tear down. They covet. They do that to fill their empty spaces while those who are bullied are seeking something and often that something is different from the every day.
