As I often wait for my subway trains, I always worry about freak accidents that I am convinced will happen instantly. What will the next person do or act when the subway is pulling at the station? Can the New York incidents happen in Canada as well? Do I look "too ethnic" perhaps too much like a "muslim"? We should not let death to force us to act.
The Liberal Party is split on who is best positioned to win -- but we seem to agree on one thing: it's gonna be a girl. This isn't some instance of affirmative action. From every conversation I've heard, Liberal partisans want the most qualified person to be Premier. It's just that most Liberals believe the best person is either Sandra Pupatello, the front runner, or Kathleen Wynne, her clearest rival.
The Ontario election overall is an interesting one to watch as a litmus test for the staying power of Conservative and NDP gains, and to see whether rumours of the Liberal Party's demise may truly be exaggerated.
