While the first day of a new school year is usually daunting to say the least -- Will my teachers like me? Will I like my teachers? Who's in my classes? Will people be nice to me? -- nothing compares to walking into the classroom for the very first time. This is especially true for the new teacher.
I found your letter and it does not fall on deaf ears. In fact, it falls on desperate ears. I need you to tell me that I can explain an assignment in three different, well-organized mediums that address all types of learners and that it's okay that there will still be a student who raises his hand and asks, "So what are we supposed to do?"
at the end of the day, most students won't remember what amazing lesson plans you've created. They won't remember how organized your bulletin boards are. How straight and neat are the desk rows. No, they'll not remember that amazing decor you've designed. But they will remember you.
