But today, I'm waxing wrathful about TV networks and stations that mutilate innocent and often brilliant programs and, quite simply, by doing so steal our money. Specifically VisionTV -- which calls itself "the World's only national multi-faith and multi-cultural television service."

Once upon a time I wrote a book about being a journalist in the 21st century. I was leafing through its pages last evening, when I stopped at the chapter The Less Things Change... It's about my time, 50 years ago, working as reporter/anchor at a startup TV station in Zambia. The chapter starts by describing how we got our foreign news film back there in the 60s. Even after all these years, much is still the same.

Whose job is it to help vulnerable Canadians solve their problems? The Canadian public service or your member of Parliament? The correct answer is our public service, however, many MPs commit a large amount of time and staff resources to getting constituents in the back door of bureaucracy.

It's no wonder that our political leaders are having such a difficult time introducing the policies needed to reduce greenhouse gases. They would not see the climate effects of this policy realized during their political career. In fact, they may not be realized in their entire lifetime.

How are you perceived? What do people say about you (after you leave the room)? This all depends on perception control -- in other words whether you are in control of the way you are perceived or not.
