You see, running was good for my health; even when I was weakened by surgery and chemo. Even when I had a high level of stress in my life. As hard as it may seem, continuing with an exercise regime improved my outlook, helped reduce my side affects from chemo, and lightened my mood.
Lately I have felt that I was working out just to work out. I would talk myself into it by reminding myself that I was a cancer survivor, and I needed to keep up with my healthy lifestyle. I would also remember that no matter how much I didn't want to work out in that moment, I would be incredibly happy and feel great once I completed it.
