Does Being 'Feminine' Make it Harder to Be a Leader?

For women in business, there's always a fine line to be walked between being persistent and being tough. People tend to say, for a woman to make it to the top, she has to be ruthless...but then she gets judged harshly for being too aggressive. I believe it is possible to be feminine and successful without being too tough, but I agree that this is a balancing act that can be challenging.

It Took a Turning Point to Start my Own Business

Women start businesses for a variety of reasons -- to address a need, to pursue a passion, or just to get away from life in the fast lane. Many seek more control over their lives, wanting the flexibility to work around the needs of their families, and their needs for an interesting life that stretches them and gives a sense of self. For myself it was a couple of life-changing experiences that had me take that leap of faith.
