Victoria MacLean has become one of the most acknowledged leaders within the Calgary Startup community. She recently concluded a two year term as President of Startup Calgary, which she is credited for co-founding two and a half years ago. Together with her partner in crime (and love) Christian MacLean, she previously founded Decoder (formerly As.so.ci.a.tion), a mobile product development business as well as AcceleratorYYC, Calgary's tech and startup co-working space and accelerator in October 2011.

Victoria is part of the Alberta steering committee for Startup Canada and an ongoing mentor of early stage startups. She is a well-recognized community leader and advocate.

When she isn’t taking care of her boys or acting as lady in charge at BeauCoo, she’s organizing and hosting almost every early stage startup event in Calgary. BeauCoo recently closed a 1.1m angel round from Brad Zumwalt / Zumwalt Investments.
