Vancouver is well known for having phenomenal Asian food and, let's be honest, dim sum is your favourite. Come with us as we take you on a journey through Vancouver's most delicious spots to dine on dim sum -- it's going to be a good one, make sure you bring snacks (we recommend chicken feet and suckling pig.)

Giants in Vancouver's dim sum scene, Sun Sui Wah is a cavernous space filled with chattering, excited diners at any given time of day. Their dim sum menu is extensive and we highly recommend their shrimp and chive dumplings - they're to die for.

There's been a ton of hype around Peaceful ever since it was featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives -- and really, don't you just have to trust Guy Fieri and his frosted tips? It's worth trying just for the hand stretched noodles, but stay for the beef roll and don't forget the dip!

Love it or hate it, Kirin is here to stay. They may not be known for their service, but damn their food is fabulous! Try some unique favourites like the shrimp squash dumpling -- no carts here so be prepared to wait a few minutes for your delicious creations.

For serious, try the chicken feet. I know, they aren't necessarily a go-to but they are delicious! The portions are enormous so come with a big group of friends, and come hungry. Extra bonus: it's cheap! Try the siu mai, and polish off the meal with a tasty egg tart.

In a hurry? Stop by and grab some delicious dim sum to go! This place is cash only, so bring a fat stack and stock up on bola bola so delicious they named it twice, and the best coconut buns you've ever sunk your teeth into.

One hell of a cafeteria with almost zero atmosphere. Staff are brusque and so fast you might wonder if you dreamed it -- until a heaping mound of food suddenly appears on your table and you're in cosy, homey heaven. The dim sum menu is small but usually on special, so grab some har gao, or pick some items from their veggie menu -- made exclusively in their vegetarian kitchen, and enjoy! Don't forget to save room for a sesame ball or two.

Flamingo has a dedicated following of folks who have been going since it opened, and that should say a lot about it! You've got to try the peanut dumplings - unless you're allergic, in which case don't.

Take advantage of the free parking, make a reservation and settle in for a great meal. Grab the crab and mushroom dumplings for something new and exotic, order the radish cake for something familiar, then cut the grease of all those deep fried dumplings with a steaming bowl of clam and white pepper congee.

The service is great at Red Star, and for the price you'd expect it to be; this isn't a cheap spot, but dang is it worth it. Their prawn dumplings are massive and ALL prawn, no filler -- you can't lose. The fried bean curd fish paste rice roll might be a bit of a mouthful, but once you taste how fresh it is you'll be ordering FOUR more. A must visit if you have a few extra dollars in your pocket!
