Rupert Murdoch's testimony before a U.K. parliamentary committee raised a lot of eyebrows online on Tuesday and it wasn't because of anything the media giant said.
About two hours into the hearing, a man threw what appeared to be a pie at the News Corp. executive. The man was quickly nabbed by security but not before he was hit by Murdoch's wife, Wendi.

Twitter was already raptly watching the hearing, the latest chapter in the phone hacking scandal, and it exploded over the pie incident.
