Lochte wins 3rd gold at world swim championships, takes men's 200 backstroke

SHANGHAI - Ryan Lochte has won his third gold medal of the world championships, leading from start to finish in the men's 200-meter backstroke.

The American finished Friday in 1 minute, 52.96 seconds. Ryosuke Irie of Japan won the silver in 1:54.11, and Tyler Clary — another American — took the bronze in 1:54.69.
