Cielo wins men's 50 freestyle at world swimming championships

SHANGHAI - Cesar Cielo of Brazil has won his second gold medal of the world swimming championships, finishing first in the 50-meter freestyle "splash and dash."

Cielo, cleared of doping by the Court of Arbitration for Sport last week, finished in a time of 21.52 seconds Saturday. He won his first gold in the 50 butterfly last Monday.

Luca Dotto of Italy took the silver in a time of 21.90 and Alain Bernard of France earned the bronze in 21.92.
