KAMLOOPS, B.C. - The RCMP have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a 76-year-old convicted murderer who violated his parole while living in Kamloops, B.C.

Ralph Morris was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of his wife in Montreal in 1982 but was on parole before he disappeared in late July.

Const. Bernie Ward says Morris has a criminal record going back to 1951 and has used violence before, including the murder.

He says Morris may be travelling by train, something he's done in the past.

Ward says Morris could be heading either to Metro Vancouver or as far east as Newfoundland, and investigators are hoping to find someone who has seen him and can give police a lead on his whereabouts.
