Roberta McIvor Death: Teens Arrested After Decapitation

AMARANTH, Man. - Police have arrested two teenage girls in the death of a Manitoba woman who was found decapitated along a road.

The girls, who are 15 and 17, are charged with manslaughter in the death of Roberta McIvor on the Sandy Bay reserve.

RCMP will only say McIvor was sleeping in her vehicle July 30 when thieves broke in and removed her.

The Mounties say McIvor, who was 32, was fatally injured as the vehicle drove away.

Her mother, Cindy Rubio, has said police told the family that McIvor's remains had been found on opposite sides of a road.

The accused have been remanded in custody.

Sandy Bay is about 120 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
