Three teens have been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the bizarre death of a man at a glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course in Barrie, Ont., over the weekend.

Brad Hubbard, 42, a father of seven from nearby Collingwood, Ont., was stabbed in the neck with a broken putter after he told three “rowdy teens” to settle down, his eldest son told The Toronto Star.

Hubbard's father-in-law, Brian Reid, told CTV News that a group of young men who appeared to have been drinking were yelling and smashing golf clubs. Hubbard asked them to stop because they were frightening the children, he said.

"At least he died in his wife's arms," Reid told CTV. "He got to tell her that he loved her before he passed away."

Hubbard, his wife and two young children attended the Putting Edge mini-putt facility at about 9:30 p.m. after a family dinner out.

Within hours of the attack, three teens from nearby Innisfil were arrested and charged with second-degree murder, The Globe and Mail reports.

Justin Spring, 18, Matthew Spring, 19, and Jake Workman, 18, are being held in custody.

A post-mortem has been scheduled for Monday in Toronto to determine the cause of death, the CBC reports.
