KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen was hit in the head by a thrown piece of a bobblehead doll during Wednesday night's game against Portland.
Two people were taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Video replays showed the Danish keeper grabbing his head and falling to the pitch, where he lay for four minutes. He was hit shortly after Graham Zusi's 25th-minute goal put Sporting up 1-0 and was able to continue playing after being examined by medical personnel.
Sporting gave away bobblehead dolls of forward Omar Bravo.
