WINNIPEG - Manitoba's Green party is including free tuition and transit in its platform for the Oct. 4 provincial election.
The party says free bus rides would encourage the public to use transit more.
The party also says post-secondary education should be free to help people escape poverty.
The Greens also want Manitoba Hydro to scrap plans for the Bipole Three hydro transmission line and look to different energy sources instead.
The party, which is running candidates in 32 of Manitoba's 57 constituencies, has never won a seat.
