Horwath gets shiny new roller derby jacket

TORONTO - If things don't go Andrea Horwath's way on Oct. 6, maybe she will consider a second career in roller derby.

She will have part of the outfit, anyway.

The Ontario NDP leader visited a roller derby team Tuesday for the second time this campaign and she was presented with a jacket emblazoned with the honorary roller derby name they bestowed upon her: Steeltown Scrapper.

Horwath tried on the jacket, adorned with sparkles on the back around the Steeltown Scrapper name, and it was a perfect fit.

But she said she likely wouldn't wear it to the night's debate — she might look a little out of place between the suit-clad leaders Dalton McGuinty and Tim Hudak.
