Ontario nurses and health-care workers vote to ratify new three-year contract

TORONTO - The union representing some 3,000 of Ontario's nurses and health care-workers has voted to ratify a new three-year contract.

Ontario Nurses' Association members working in 10 of the province's Community Care Access Centres voted Friday on the terms of the deal.

Details will be available after the ratification process is complete.

It is expected to be finished by Oct. 7.

The new agreement expires on March 31, 2014.

The Ontario Nurses' Association represents the province's 57,000 heath care workers.
