Tiger Woods will be sharing the cover of his video game for just the second time in the franchise's history.
EA Sports says fans will determine who joins Woods on the front of "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13." There will be two versions of the box art — one for Europe and the other for North America — when the game launches next March.
The Facebook vote features separate European and North American brackets.
The American candidates are Ben Crane, Rickie Fowler, Jim Furyk, Dustin Johnson, Zach Johnson, Hunter Mahan, Rocco Mediate and Bubba Watson.
The European contenders are Paul Casey, Luke Donald, Ross Fisher, Graeme McDowell, Rory McIlroy, Edoardo Molinari, Ian Poulter and Justin Rose.
The voting, from Oct. 3 to 23 on www.facebook.com/tigerwoodspgatour, will feature a matchplay-like bracket with two golfers from each group going head-to-head each week.
The winners will be announced via Facebook on Oct. 24.
EA says the candidates were selected and seeded based on a combination of the world golf rankings, FedExCup rankings/Race to Dubai rankings and a combination of Twitter followers, Facebook fans and traffic to each golfer's official website.
Similar fan votes were held to determine the cover athletes for EA's "Madden NFL 12" and "NCAA Football 12."
Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis beat out Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick in the final round of voting for the Madden cover.
Alabama running back Mark Ingram was chosen for the NCAA cover won over Auburn defensive lineman Nick Fairley, Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray, and Washington quarterback Jake Locker.
Two years ago, Woods shared his game cover with Rory McIlroy to highlight a Ryder Cup theme.
