Police warn public against eating stolen calf on numerous medications

PICCADILLY, N.L. - Police in western Newfoundland have issued a health warning after the theft of a calf in Piccadilly.

RCMP say officers were called out on Monday and learned the calf was killed in its pen and taken away.

Police say the meat should not be eaten because the calf was on numerous medications and some could be harmful to human health.

The Mounties are asking anyone with information about the case to give them a call.
