Grey Bruce Health Unit to vote on deal with nurses Friday, nurses have accepted

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - The Grey Bruce Health Unit will vote on a tentative deal with its nurses on Friday.

The deal with the Ontario Nurses' Association was reached during mediated talks this week.

The 38 nurses have voted to accept the package, which is retroactive to Jan. 1.

The nurses had voted 91 per cent in favour of job action, and would have been in a legal strike position today.

Details of the contract won't be revealed until after the health unit's ratification vote. (CFOS)
