Parliamentarians Of The Year Awards: Bob Rae Wins MP Of The Year

And The Top MPs Of 2011 Are...

Maclean's and L'actualité 5th Annual Parliamentarians of the Year awards ceremony was held Monday night.

Interim Liberal Bob Rae won the award for best Parliamentarian of the Year. He was selected by his peers (those elected on May 2nd).

The late NDP Leader Jack Layton was honoured with a lifetime achievement award, accepted on his behalf by his widow NDP MP Olivia Chow .

• Hardest-Working -- Immigration Minister Jason Kenney

• Best Constituent Representative -- Conservative MP Michael Chong

• Most Knowledgeable -- NDP MP Joe Comartin

• Best Orator -- Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird

• Most Collegial -- NDP MP Peter Stoffer

• Rookie of the Year -- Conservative MP Chris Alexander, the parliamentary secretary to the defence minister
