Glamorama Nails: Put To The Test

Can These Press-On Nails Look Good? We Found Out
Sephora

At some point, we've all purchased something whose results were, er, questionable, and didn't live up to our expectations or deliver the results we were so boldly promised. But no more! For the sake of you and your hard-earned money, The Huffington Post Canada Style team is putting the latest products to the test every week.

Price: $7

What It Is: Wearable stickers designed to add instant sparkle and glamour to your nails without nail polish.

How To: Match one of the 18 stickers to your nail size. Peel off the sticker's back. Gently smooth the sticker onto your nail bed. Press it on. Trim the excess sticker to match your nail's shape and length. Voila: blinged-out nails!

What We Thought: It was fantastic to have the most blinged out nails at a party. It caught people's eyes and had them asking questions about "how" -- and sometimes "why" -- our nails got so bedazzled. Without nail polish underneath the stickers, the whole look seemed a little strange, though. Once we added a few swipes of deep red lacquer, the nail stickers actually looked dramatic and very holiday. It took about 20 minutes to put the nail art on, and they stayed in perfect condition for about a day -- shower included. The stickers are easy to peel off, but it's recommended you soak your hands to help loosen the backings when you're ready to remove your bling.

The Downfalls: Because these things are, in fact, stickers, small bits of fluff got caught in the art, and dirt accumulated around the edges. And once the sticker started to peel ever-so-slightly, that was it -- the entire decal came off.

Tips: Do your thumbs last! You need your thumb to peel the backings off and if you have the decal already on, it makes the process significantly harder. Apply a top coat to the stickers and they'll stay on longer.

Final Remarks: It's definitely a fun look for a night on the town or a special holiday party. There's no need to incorporate 3D nail bling into your daily routine, however.
