TORONTO - Police released more details today about cross-country raids that targeted alleged gang members.
They also displayed some of the 27 firearms and $110,000 in cash seized in an operation called "Project Marvel."
In all, police say 60 suspects face a total of 396 charges. Ten of the accused are between the ages of 14 and 17.
The investigation started in May as a probe into the activities of rival gangs in northwest Toronto.
Police soon found links to serious criminal activity in other Ontario cities and eventually to parts of Western Canada.
Tuesday's raids took place in several Ontario communities as well as Calgary and Surrey, B.C. (680News, The Canadian Press)
