Youth Charged In Edmonton's Latest Homicide


A 16-year-old has been charged in the death of another young man in a park in Edmonton's west end late Wednesday night.

Police say they have charged the 16-year-old with second-degree murder in the shooting death in Lewis Estates.

Edmonton police had found a 17-year-old lying in the snow in the upscale neighbourhood after reports of gunfire.

The young man's death is Edmonton's 45th homicide victim of the year.
