Statistics Canada figures show the number of people living in the province increased by almost 5,700 between July 1 and Oct. 1.
That's the most growth recorded in any quarter since the agency started keeping quarterly records in 1971.
The province's population now stands at 1,063,535.
Saskatchewan continues to attract people from other provinces and other countries.
In the third quarter, almost 5,300 people moved to the province from Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia.
